TVGuide.com reports that the CBS network has given the greenlight to the reality pilot THE JOB from Mark Burnett (Survivor, The Apprentice) and Michael Davies (Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, Watch What Happens: Live). THE JOB marks the first time the producers will team up on a project.

Casting is underway for the pilot which will have five contestants in competition to win their dream job at an undetermined "women's/entertainment magazine in New York". If the series is picked up, it will feature a different job and different company each week.

This is the second career oriented series at the CBS network which currently airs Undercover Boss which follows a different executive as they leave the comfort of their corner office for an undercover mission to examine the inner workings of their companies. While working alongside their employees, they see the effects their decisions have on others, where the problems lie within their organizations and get an up-close look at both the good and the bad while discovering and rewarding the unsung heroes who make their companies run.
