CBS EVENING NEWS WITH SCOTT PELLEY Up +8% Year-to-Year

The CBS EVENING NEWS WITH SCOTT PELLEY is up +8% year-to-year in adults 25-54 (1.3/06 from 1.2/05) - the demographic most important to those who advertise in news -for the week ending Sept. 12, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings. It is the largest percentage increase among the network evening news broadcasts for the week.

The CBS EVENING NEWS WITH SCOTT PELLEY is also up +3% year-to-year in viewers (6.28m from 6.09m) for the week ending Sept. 12.

Season-to-date, the CBS EVENING NEWS WITH SCOTT PELLEY is up +5% in viewers (6.76m from 6.44m) compared to last year.

Ratings for the week ending Sept. 12 represent a three-day average, as the CBS broadcast was pre-empted on Monday due to coverage of the U.S. Open and aired under an "amended" title on Thursday due to the premiere of THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL. The year-ago comparison represents a four-day average.
