The CBS EVENING NEWS WITH SCOTT PELLEY is up +5% in viewers (6.75m from 6.43m) for the 2013-2014 television year, the Network's largest viewer delivery in the time period in eight years (since 2005-2006), according to Nielsen most current ratings.
The
CBS EVENING NEWS WITH SCOTT PELLEY added +320,000 viewers compared to the last television year.
For the week ending Sept. 19, the
CBS EVENING NEWS WITH SCOTT PELLEY posted the largest year-to-year percentage increase among the network evening news broadcasts in adults 25-54 (+8%, 1.3/06 from 1.2/05), the demographic most important to those who advertise in news, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings.
The
CBS EVENING NEWS WITH SCOTT PELLEY also posted year-to-year gains among viewers (+2%, 6.28m from 6.16m) for the week ending Sept. 19.
Ratings for the week ending Sept. 19 represent a four-day average (Monday-Wednesday, Friday). The broadcast aired under an "amended" title on Thursday due to CBS's coverage of THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL. The year-ago comparison represents a five-day average.
