CBS Daytime Celebrates Dads & Grads, Week of June 7

CBS Daytime kicks off summer in style, celebrating dads and new grads with surprise guests, giveaways and big prizes on THE PRICE IS RIGHT, today, June 7 and Friday, June 14, and on the The Talk the entire week of June 10-14, on the CBS Television Network.

School's out for summer when THE PRICE IS RIGHT, daytime television's most-watched show, recently nominated for two Daytime Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Game Show, congratulates high school seniors with a special Graduation episode, Friday, June 7 (11:00 AM-12:00 PM, ET; 10:00-11:00 AM, PT). The new grads, each playing alongside a parent, will compete for prizes to help them gear up for college, including designer backpacks, a 3D HDTV, a year's supply of laundry services, pizza, movie tickets, textbooks and new cars. Showcase contestants will have the opportunity to play for a new computer, a scooter and a graduation trip through Europe.

There are bigger gifts than just neckties on the line when THE PRICE IS RIGHT celebrates Father's Day with an audience of contestants teaming up with their dads, Friday, June 14 (11:00 AM-12:00 Noon, ET; 10:00-11:00 AM, PT). The lucky pairs will have the chance to win great prizes for dad, including a new BBQ grill, an ATV, new cars and a home gym. Special showcases include a sporting event luxury suite for 30, a motorboat and a 70-inch 3D HDTV with surround sound.

THE TALK, network television's fastest-growing daytime talk show, recently nominated for five Daytime Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Talk Show-Entertainment, will celebrate Father's Day all week, Monday, June 10- Friday, June 14 (2:00-3:00 PM, ET; 1:00-2:00 PM, CT/PT). As part of the show's tribute celebrating dad, co-hosts, Julie Chen, Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne, Aisha Tyler and Sheryl Underwood, will partake in a game called "Who's Your Daddy?" where a mystery celebrity father will make a surprise appearance each day. On Monday, June 10 The Talk also welcomes lifestyle expert Chi-Lan Lieu who will showcase several gift ideas just in time for Father's Day.

CBS Daytime has been #1 in the daypart for 27 consecutive years, featuring a lineup that is a balance of dramas, game shows and talk. The Network's daytime lineup includes television's #1 daytime program and longest-running game show THE PRICE IS RIGHT, the #1 daytime drama THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS, network television's fastest-growing daytime talk show, THE TALK, as well as The Bold and the Beautiful and LET'S MAKE A DEAL.

Recently, CBS swept the 2013 Daytime Emmy Nominations with 51 nods. CBS Daytime's entire entertainment lineup was honored, with The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful both receiving nominations for Outstanding Drama Series. The Talk was nominated for Outstanding Talk Show, Entertainment; THE PRICE IS RIGHT and LET'S MAKE A DEAL were both nominated for Outstanding Game Show; and LET'S MAKE A DEAL host Wayne Brady was nominated for Outstanding Game Show Host.

THE PRICE IS RIGHT, the longest-running game show in television history, is hosted by Drew Carey. Produced by FremantleMedia North America, THE PRICE IS RIGHT is broadcast weekdays (11:00 AM-12:00 Noon, ET; 10:00-11:00 AM, PT) on the CBS Television Network. Mike Richards and Jennifer Mullin are executive producers.

THE TALK features a panel of well-known news and entertainment personalities discussing current events, pop culture, contemporary issues, family, celebrity and the trending topics of the day. The daily one-hour series is co-hosted by Julie Chen, Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne, Sheryl Underwood and Aisha Tyler. The hosts swap stories, challenge each other on issues and engage the studio audience and viewers at home about events in the headlines and their own homes. Show segments include guest interviews with entertainers and newsmakers, musical performances, how-to demos and appearances from extraordinary people with stories that engage and inform. The show was developed by Gilbert, who also serves as executive producer.
