CBS Corporation divisions this morning garnered 14 Golden Globe Awards nominations, bridging three divisions - SHOWTIME, CBS Television and CBS Films - including triple crown recognition for best series/film nominations across broadcast television ("The Good Wife" and "The Big Bang Theory"), cable television ("Masters of Sex") and film ("Inside Llewyn Davis").
SHOWTIME received six nominations: Best Television Series - Drama ("Masters of Sex"), Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series - Drama (
Liev Schreiber in "Ray Donovan" and
Michael Sheen in "Masters of Sex"); Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series - Comedy or Musical (
Edie Falco in "Nurse Jackie"), Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series - Comedy or Musical (
Don Cheadle in "House of Lies") and Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Series, Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television (
Jon Voight in "Ray Donovan").
CBS earned five nominations: Best Television Series - Drama ("The Good Wife"), Best Television Series - Comedy or Musical ("The Big Bang Theory"), Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series - Drama (
Julianna Margulies in "The Good Wife"), Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series - Comedy or Musical (
Jim Parsons in "The Big Bang Theory") and Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Series, Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television (
Josh Charles in "The Good Wife").
CBS Films garnered three nominations: Best Motion Picture - Comedy or Musical ("Inside Llewyn Davis"), Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture - Comedy or Musical (
Oscar Isaac in "Inside Llewyn Davis") and Best Original Song - Motion Picture ("Please
Mr. Kennedy" - "Inside Llewyn Davis").
Earlier this week, the same three
CBS Corporation divisions received recognition from the AFI Awards 2013, including "Inside Llewyn Davis," which was among the 10 AFI Movies of the Year -- and "The Good Wife" and "Masters of Sex," which were among the 10 AFI Television Programs of the Year.
