Hawaii Five-0 kicked off production on season four in Honolulu with a traditional Hawaiian blessing in honor of its host Hawaiian culture at their new stages at the historic Hawaii Film Studio in Diamond Head. Series stars Alex O'Loughlin, Daniel Dae Kim, Michelle Borth, Taylor Wiley, Dennis Chun and Al Harrington, as well as the producers and the entire Hawaii Five-0 crew, participated. Kauila Kawelo Barber and Kalei Nu'uhiwa officiated over the ceremony, which included traditional royal maile leis, a Pule Wehe (opening prayer), and Pule Ho'oku'u (closing prayer), calling upon the elements and inviting goodness, protection, peace, happiness and success.
Joining in the celebration was Honolulu Mayor Kirk Caldwell.
Season four of Hawaii Five-0 premieres Friday, Sept. 27 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
