CBS Acquires Digital Multicast Rights to THE CAROL BURNETT SHOW  Image

CBS Television Distribution has acquired the digital multicast rights to THE CAROL BURNETT SHOW. The legendary comedian owns controls the library of the hit variety show that aired on CBS from 1967 to 1978 and featured Tim Conway, Harvey Korman, Vicki Lawrence, and Lyle Waggoner. In December, CBS aired a 50th anniversary special for the series which delivered over 17 million viewers.

Shared Burnett, "I'm thrilled to be back home at CBS, and I'm so happy that future generations will be able to see and enjoy the fun we had in those 11 wonderful years."

CBS Television Distribution will now show the show to digital multicast channels specializing in vintage TV. Some of the show's episodes have not been seen since they were originally broadcast.
