CBS Network Sales announced today a series of promotions for its senior executives, strengthening its department with seasoned sales executives who bring years of experience to each daypart. Matthew Sautner has been promoted to Senior Vice President of Primetime Sales; Joseph Mina will become Vice President, Primetime Sales; Robert Malmgren will now be Senior Vice President, CBS Sports Sales; Jared Zerman has been elevated to Senior Vice President, Daytime Sales; David Sherman will now be Vice President of News and Late Night Sales; and Chad Glennon has been named Director of NFL Sales. The announcements were made by JoAnn Ross, President, Network Sales, Chris Simon, Executive Vice President, Network Sales, and John Bogusz, Executive Vice President, CBS Sports Sales.
"We have a deep bench of talent in Network Sales, and I'm very pleased to have such experienced executives to fill these important roles," said Ross. "These are all well-deserved promotions for incredibly smart, hard-working and talented sales executives."
Before being named Senior Vice President, Primetime Sales, Matthew Sautner served as Vice President, Primetime Sales, a job he held since 2006. Prior to joining CBS, he was a senior buyer at Grey Advertising/Mediacom. He began his career at DMB&B as an assistant buyer.
Joseph Mina, promoted to Vice President, Primetime Sales, joined
CBS in 1997 as a sales planning analyst, and most recently served as Vice President, News and Late Night Sales. Mina began his career at Zenith Media Services as a national broadcast junior buyer in June 1994 before being promoted to a national broadcast buyer.
Robert Malmgren, who has been named Senior Vice President,
CBS Sports Sales, first joined
CBS in 1998 as an account executive for
CBS News and Late Night. Malmgren began his career at Well Rich Green. He also worked at SFM Media Buying Group,
ABC News and Late Night Planning and DDB Needham 1997-1998.
Jared Zerman, newly named Senior Vice President, Daytime Sales, previously served as Vice President, Daytime Sales at the Network. Zerman has spent his entire career at CBS, joining the Company in 1987 as a senior sales analyst. During his tenure, Zerman has had sales responsibilities across all Network dayparts.
David Sherman has been elevated to Vice President of News/Late Night Sales from his previous role as an account executive for
CBS Primetime. Sherman joined
CBS in 1995 as an account service representative. He began his career at the Anheuser-Busch Media Group where he served in various media sales roles.
Chad Glennon, who has been named Director of NFL Sales, joined
CBS in 1998, most recently as an account executive for
CBS Sports Sales where he sold ad inventory across all
CBS Sports television properties. He began his career at Grey Advertising/Mediacom as a media supervisor.
