Reelz today announced the U.S. premieres for three original movies CAT. 8, Delete and Exploding Sun from Sonar Entertainment's End of the World Series.
Reelz cranks up the apocalyptic drama all summer long with big stars and blockbuster movie action in three television events starting with CAT. 8 on July 22, 2013 at 8pm ET/ 5pm PT starring Emmy Award(R) nominee Matthew Modine (Jobs, The Dark Knight Rises) depicting the terrifying aftermath of a global defense program gone astray. Next up is the technology nightmare Delete on August 19, 2013 at 8pm ET/ 5pm PT starring Emmy Award(R) winner Seth Green (Family Guy) in which computers become dangerously self-aware and seek to destroy humans. Wrapping up with a bang is Exploding Sun on September 9, 2013 at 8pm ET/ 5pm PT starring David James Elliott (JAG) who races to save humanity after a space shuttle is struck by a solar storm and is put on a collision course for the sun - an event with monumental consequences that could plunge humanity back into the Stone Age.

In Exploding Sun, the first ever commercial space shuttle is struck by a solar storm. The disaster hyper-charges the engine and catapults the ship on a direct course for the sun. But the danger becomes more universal when it's discovered the event will trigger an infinitely larger solar storm that could send Earth back into the Stone Age. Exploding Sun stars David James Elliott (JAG), Anthony Lemke (Blue Mountain State), Natalie Brown (Being Human) and Emmy Award(R) winner Julia Ormond (Temple Grandin).
