But, Wait! What's On TV Tonight? Wednesday, October 29th: TV's Getting PSYCHO Tonight!

Normally on week days, I try to stick to actual TV shows with our "But, Wait! What's On TV Tonight?" picks, but because Game Seven of the World Series is taking over Fox tonight, the pickin's are slimmer than normal. So I took the opportunity to venture slightly off of the beaten path. Therefore, tonight, you are getting one of the best movies ever made (and the genesis of one of TV's best current shows) and a series that has one of the goofiest titles I've ever seen. Mixed in we bring you a holiday tradition, and a surprising reality show. So, what will you be watching tonight?

Alright, guys, listen up. Some kooky moves have been attempted on this show before. But tonight, one contestant may just out-kook them all. Picture it. Selling a tribe member a fake immunity idol. Brilliant? Ridiculous? Either way, it's going to be awesome. Plus, Jeff shows up at Hunahpu to lay down the law. Gotta teach those kids a lesson about chowin' down on rice like it's the Golden Corral.

DUDE, YOU'RE SCREWED: SUPER SCREWED | 8:00-9:00pm | Discovery

As I mentioned above, when I am putting these columns together, I normally try to stick to the more traditional television fare, or at least something with a Broadway connection. However, as I was scrolling through the channel listings for tonight, I came across this interestingly titled piece. Mind you, this is not a normal edition of DUDE, YOU'RE SCREWED, this is a SUPER SCREWED episode. Tonight the show focuses on a former Navy S.E.A.L. who is stranded on top of an Icelandic volcano. I think that rises to the level of "Super Screwed."

I often have issues with the films that they choose to show on AMC; American Movie Classics, however, there might be no more fitting example of an American classic during this time of year than PSYCHO. From the expert, nay, brilliant direction of Alfred Hitchcock to the legendary performance by Anthony Perkins, there is no better way to spend an evening during Halloween week. So, grab some popcorn and chocolate sauce and watch Jamie Lee Curtis' mother murdered in a shower... sorry, should I have said Spoiler Alert?

It's Halloween at the Dunphy's and you can bet Phil's going to go all out. Much to Claire's dismay, he turns the house into "AwesomeLand." Sounds pretty spooky to me. Meanwhile, Jay is a little self-conscious when Gloria decides they are going as Shrek and Princess Fiona. All the while, Mitchell tries to close a big case, but has trouble due to the stenographer being dressed as a spider.
