Thursday is a busy night for TV watching, and tonight is no exception. Tonight's "But, Wait! What's On TV Tonight" picks feature new shows with familiar faces, returning shows that you have to take a bite out of, and the continuation of a TV legacy. ONCE's original Girl, Cristin Milioti returns to TV tonight, and though it means that she won't be back on Broadway any time soon, getting to experence her general adorableness on a weekly basis will more than ease that pain.

THE VAMPIRE DIARIES | 8:00-9:00pm | THE CW
Season Six of THE VAMPIRE DIARIES kicks off with Elena, and the rest of the Mystic Falls gang, grieving the loss of Damon and Bonnie. With the boundary spell still intact, the supernaturals struggle with finding a new home at Whitmore College. Also, Alaric copes with adjusting to vampire life, Jeremy's new reckless behavior escalates, and Caroline fights to find a way to reverse the spell put on their home. Sounds like fun, huh?

GRACEPOINT | 9:00-10:00pm | FOX
In this new FOX series, the 10th Doctor Who teams up with Skylar White to share witty repartee and solve mysteries. Oops, we confused the actual plot with our own hopes and dreams. The pair actually plays detectives from a small seaside town working the case of a local boy's murder, and soon everyone's a suspect. Be sure to catch this remake of the hit British drama BROADCHURCH, and maybe keep some tissues handy.

A TO Z | 9:30-10:00pm | NBC
If you are still not over the fact that the titular mother flipping DIED on the series finale of HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER, don't worry, she has been reincarnated as Zelda on NBC's new show A TO Z. Broadway's Cristin Milioti stars in yet another high concept romantic comedy that features a famous TV narrator (sorry, it's not Dave Coulier). The show chronicles the eight month, three week, five day, and one hour dating relationship of Andrew and Zelda (A to Z, get it?). The question is, after that time, do they break up; do they get engaged? All I know is, she better not die this time!

HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER | 10:00 PM- 11:00pm | ABC
Gosh, I am so glad that something finally went right for that Shonda Rhimes lady. I mean, she's just never had any success on TV before. Oh, who are we kidding, she's the most powerful person in television, and the newest addition to Shondaland seems to be continuing her streak of epic, "Holy S%*+" television. It also doesn't hurt that two-time Tony-winner Viola Davis is the star of the show. Ms. Davis, you are one bad a$$ national treasure.
