FINALLY! It seems like it's been forever since they announced that the new season of AMERICAN HORROR STORY would be set in a carnival side show; and tonight we finally get a peak behind the curtain. Obviously, the FREAK SHOW premiere leads Wednesday's "But, Wait! What's On TV Tonight?" picks, but we wanted to balance out all of that creepy with a couple family sitcoms and a Jonas Brother sweating and wrestling... still creepy? Sorry. Oh, and even though it's not one of our picks, Laura Benanti is back on NASHVILLE, even though it is only briefly again. Check out our picks, and don't forget to tell us what will you be watching tonight?

Every day, BWW TV World will bring you a handful of picks from across the TV landscape. So, if you have nothing to do each night, check in with us, and we will tell you the best ways to spend your primetime hours.

All times are Eastern

THE MIDDLE | 8:00-8:30pm | ABC
By: Dylan Siegman | @Dsiggy15

I was home sick one day, and the only thing on was reruns of THE MIDDLGE. To my surprise, I immediately fell in love with it, and ended up binge-watching all of the episodes in a week to catch up. Patricia Heaton kind of bothered me when she was on EVERYBODY LOVES RAYMOND, but she is absolutely hysterical in this show. Add in Neil Flynn, the janitor from SCRUBS, and you've got an outrageously clever show that is really easy to identify with. So, if you aren't watching yet, go ahead and jump in THE MIDDLE.

MODERN FAMILY | 9:00-9:30pm | ABC
By: Matt Smith | @theatrefreak120 on Instagram

On this week's MODERN FAMILY, while editing Cam and Mitch's wedding video, Phil discovers he's the cause of a horrible cold that has become widespread throughout the family, and I am already assuming that hilarity will ensue. PITCH PERFECT and WORKAHOLIC's Adam DeVine also guest stars.

KINGDOM | 9:00-10:00pm | DIRECTV
By Misha Davenport | @triggercritic

Former boy band member and Disney Channel star Nick Jonas is all grown up, flexing muscles and acting chops as Nate Henderson, a would-be Mixed Martial Artist training at the family gym run by his father, a faded MMA star (Frank Grillo). FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS star Matt Lauria co-stars as an ex-con and Johnathan Tucker (PARENTHOOD) plays Nate's drug-addled, thrill-seeking brother. With all that talent, surely, this is going to be a knockout.

AMERICAN HORROR STORY: FREAK SHOW | 10:00-11:00pm | FX
By: Kara McCoy | @i_got_the_tweet

Turn on all the lights, grab your favorite teddy bear, and brace yourself for the return of TV's most twisted series since... ever. Seriously. And with Season 5 featuring a character named "Twisty the Clown," you can be pretty sure that creator Ryan Murphy has no intention of letting up on the crazy this time around. If you've seen the trailers, you already know: this clown's definitely a little less Bozo, and a lot more Pennywise. Many of Murphy's repitorie cast is back, including Sarah Paulson, Jessica Lange, Kathy Bates, Emma Roberts, Evan Peters, and Denis O'Hare.
