While most TV viewers know Bryan Cranston best for his Emmy winning role as Walter White in AMC's BREAKING BAD, the talented actor also won accolades for his portrayal of Hal Wilkerson, in the comedy MALCOLM IN THE MIDDLE.
The actor took on the role from 2000 to 2006 and garnered three Emmy nominations for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series,
During a recent Reddit AMA to discuss his new film WHY HIM?, Cranston teased that a Malcolm in the Middle movie may be a possibility. "There has been some conversation about [a Malcolm in the Middle movie]," he shared. "I don't know if or when that could happen, I guess we have to gauge the temperament of the fans to see if it's something they want. But maybe." He adds, "It would be fun to play with all those people again."
Created by Linwood Boomer for the Fox Broadcasting Company, MALCOLM IN THE MIDDLE was first broadcast on January 9, 2000, and ended its six-year run on May 14, 2006, after seven seasons and 151 episodes. The series received critical acclaim and won a Peabody Award, seven Emmy Awards, one Grammy Award, and seven Golden Globe nominations.
