Broadway's Cheyenne Jackson to Guest On Fox's GOOD DAY NEW YORK 9/4

Cheyenne Jackson has announced on his personal website that he will guest on Fox's Good Day New York tomorrow, Friday, September 4th.  Good Day New York airs locally on Fox 5 (WNYW), Mondays through Fridays, from 7:00am to 10:00am.

Cheyenne Jackson is one of Broadways brightest stars. Cheyenne has starred in Xanadu (Drama League, Drama Desk nominations), the City Center Encore presentations of Damn Yankees and the recent Finnian's Rainbow, All Shook Up (Theater World Award, Drama League, Outer Critics Circle nomination) the premiere cast of Altar Boyz, Aida, Thoroughly Modern Millie, The Cartells, On the 20th Century, and The 24 Hour Plays. His film and television credits include; the Oscar nominated United 93, Curiosity, Hysteria, Family Practice, Hysteria, Life on Mars and Ugly Betty.

FEINSTEIN'S AT LOEWS REGENCY, the nightclub proclaimed "Best of New York" by New York Magazine and "an invaluable New York institution" by The New York Post - currently celebrating its 10th Anniversary season- recently hosted the first joint engagement of the club's founder Michael Feinstein and critically-acclaimed Broadway star Cheyenne Jackson.

Originally announced from June 2 - 12, the club added six additional shows on June 25, 26 and 27 due to demand. Their new duet show "The Power Of Two" featured pop songs, classic standards and songs from Broadway shows like The Pajama Game, City Of Angels and Finian's Rainbow. The two stars sold out individual appearances at the club earlier this season as well.

After collaborating onstage for the first time, Jackson and Feinstein headed into the recording studio to shape the concert into a new album. The two talents recorded the songs at the Nola Recording Studios on West 57th St. in New York City last week and the album will be available for purchase and download in Fall 2009.

Producers David Richenthal and Jack Viertel have announced last month that Cheyenne Jackson will reprise the role of Woody, which he played in the critically-acclaimed New York City Center Encores! production of Finian's Rainbow, when the musical transfers to Broadway's ST. James Theatre, 246 West 44 Street, beginning Thursday, October 8 at 8pm. The opening is set for Thursday, October 29 at 6:45pm.

Finian's Rainbow has a book by E.Y. Harburg and Fred Saidy; lyrics by E.Y. Harburg; music by Burton Lane; with book adaptation by Arthur Perlman and original adaptation for New York City Center Encores! by David Ives. It is directed and choreographed by Warren Carlyle; musical direction is by Rob Berman.

The production will also star Jim Norton (Finian), Kate Baldwin (Sharon), Chuck Cooper (Bill), and Christopher Fitzgerald (Og).

Finian's Rainbow plays the ST. James Theatre, 246 West 44 Street. The preview performance schedule (through Sunday, November 1) is Monday through Saturday at 8pm with a matinee on Saturday at 2pm. There will be special added matinees on Wednesday, October 28 at 2pm and Sunday, November 1 at 3pm. The regular performance schedule, beginning Monday, November 2, is Tuesday through Thursday at 7pm; Friday and Saturday at 8pm; with matinees on Wednesday and Saturday at 2pm, and Sunday at 3pm. Tickets are $35 - $75 in previews and $50 - $120 post opening. There are also special post-opening Wednesday evening prices as low as $25.00. Good Day New York is the first morning show to air on a Fox station, launching on August 1, 1988.

The weekday morning news and feature show airs on WNYW (FOX 5), the flagship television station of the News Corporation-owned Fox Broadcasting Company, located in New York City. The show airs weekday mornings from 7-9 a.m.
