The hit Youtube series MY GAY ROOMMATE (MGR) tells the story of two college roommates, one gay and one straight, and their journey through college and into adulthood to become the homo-hetero power-couple of the ages.

MGR is one of the biggest scripted web series in the world with over 5.5 million views and more than 57,400 subscribers. The show has been featured in this year's Hollywood Issue of Vanity Fair, The New York Times, Huffington Post, Logo TV's NewNowNext, Queerty, OUT Magazine, and many others.

For the past year, the creators have been developing the show into a full half-hour comedy with the New York based production company Ish Entertainment, led by Michael Hirschorn (former head of VH1). The new My Gay Roommate is an expanded and re-imagined full half-hour version of the web series with all new characters and story lines.

As the team prepares to shoot the pilot episode, they have announced the first cast member, Broadway and SMASH star Andy Mientus (LES MISERABLES). The actor will be playing Wesley, the president and star of The Windsor Boys, the school's douchebag a capella superstars.
