Britney Spears to Join Fox's X FACTOR Season 2?

On a recent appearance on the UK's 'Craig Doyle Live' show, X FACTOR UK judge Louis Walsh revealed that Simon Cowell is definitely in talks with pop star Britney Spears about joining the USA version of the singing competition when it returns for Season 2.

"I was out with Simon Cowell during the week, he's in London," Walsh said. "You know like you do and I know he is talking to Britney. He's definitely talking to Britney to do his American show. Absolutely true!"

Walsh appeared on THE X FACTOR UK along with fellow judges Tulisa Contostavlos, Gary Barlow and Kelly Rowland, and host Dermot O'Leary.

Cowell shared his feelings on Spears in a recent interview with Billy Bush on radio station KBIG-FM, commenting, "Well, I'm fascinated by her. The fact that she's still one of the most talked-about - not just popstars, but people in the world today - means that you've got this star power...This girl's got resilience and the fact that she's survived this and she's still hot, she's still having hit records and she's still controversial... there's a reason for that."

Auditions for Season 2 of THE X FACTOR USA begin this month.
