Britain's Channel 4 to Air HUGH GRANT: TAKING ON THE TABLOIDS, 11/28

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Britain's Channel 4 will air a 60-minute documentary titled Hugh Grant: TAKING ON THE TABLOIDS on Wednesday, November 28th. The film follows the actor's pursuit of stricter regulation of the press throughout the U.K. The show will air on the same day that  the Leveson Inquiry, a report which investigated press standards and ethics, is expected to be released. 

The report was ordered following last summer's phone hacking scandal involving News Corp. Grant was among the many celebrities who testified in the aftermath of the event. The report will most likely contain recommendations for the regulation of U.K. newspapers, despite the fact that the majority of British media is opposed to the idea of further government curbing of media "excesses".  

The film is described as "a balanced observational documentary following Grant as he campaigns for new forms of press regulation, but also interviews critics of any curbs." According to the U.K.'s Guardian, interviews for the documentary are still being conducted.
