Brian Cox Signs on for THEATRE OF DREAMS Film

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Broadway veteran Brian Cox will star in Theatre of Dreams, a new film which will be dircted by David Scheinmann.

The movies is a 'fictional coming-of-age drama about how the club's legendary manager Matt Busby helps an 11-year-old rascal fulfil his footballing dreams.'

Cox is known for his work with the Royal Shakespeare Company, where he gained recognition for his portrayal of King Lear. He has also appeared in many Hollywood productions playing parts such as Dr. Guggenheim in Rushmore and William Stryker in X2. He was the first actor to portray Hannibal Lecter on film in the 1986 production Manhunter.

Cox plays Laura Linney's father in the Showtime series The Big C. He was most recenty seen on Broadway in THAT CHAMPIONSHIP SEASON.
