David Milch's latest HBO pilot THE MONEY has found its star.
According to Deadline, Brendan Gleeson (BRAVEHEART) has signed on for the project, which Justin Chadwick will direct.
THE MONEY is a familial drama which centers on the "wealth and corruption among the super elite, focusing on American mogul and patriarch James Castman (Gleeson), who wields power and influence to expand his media empire and control his family."
Milch (DEADWOOD, LUCK) will also executive produce with SONS OF ANARCHY's Art & John Linson.

Brendan Gleeson first gained attention with his breakthrough performance in "Braveheart." Most recently, he received a Golden Globe nomination for "In Bruges."
His films include "Beowulf," "Mission Impossible II," "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, " "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" and the upcoming "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows," "Kingdom of Heaven," "The Village," "Troy," "Cold Mountain," "Gangs of New York," AI: Artificial Intelligence," "The Tailor of Panama," and "The General," for which he received several Best Actor Awards.
