Breaking Glass Pictures has acquired North American rights to the romantic drama AND THEN THERE WAS EVE starring Deadpool alum Karan Soni and "Home and Away" star Tania Nolan. Breaking Glass acquired rights to the film in January in a deal negotiated between Breaking Glass CEO Rich Wolff and writer/director Savannah Bloch of Eve Film, LLC. The film will open theatrically in Los Angeles on March 8, followed by a DVD & VOD release on March 12.

AND THEN THERE WAS EVE held its world premiere at the Los Angeles Film Festival where it won the Jury Prize, and went on to play the San Diego International Film Festival and the Carmel International Film Festival. The film also opened two prominent women-centric festivals: Women Texas Film Festival in Dallas, and The Women's Film Festival in Philadelphia.

"We are so happy to be working with BGP; with their support of diverse independent voices and fearless risk taking, we know it will be a successful collaboration to bring this provocative and timely film to a wider audience", said director Savannah Bloch.

Praise went to the cast, particularly Rachel Crowl for her "mesmerizing" performance as the titular Eve (awardscircuit.com), while film critic Danielle Solzman declared the film "worth the wait" and praised the filmmakers for their casting of a trans woman, and the LA Times touted the film's "commitment to an authentic narrative".

Alyssa, a successful photographer, wakes one morning to find her apartment ransacked

and her husband mysteriously missing. Left without even a photograph to offer the

police, she turns to his colleague Eve, a talented jazz pianist with a flirtatious charm and

disarming grace. Eve helps her confront her husband's longtime struggle with depression

and to, over time, accept his absence. While getting to know this woman through such

unusual circumstances, Alyssa is surprised to find herself falling in love again.

"Bold and original, this unique blend of mystery and romance feels fresh and contemporary" said Richard Ross, Co-President of Breaking Glass. "Anchored by memorable, heartfelt performances, Bloch's stunning debut feature marks a talent to watch."
