According to The Hollywood Reporter, R.J. Mitte has been added to the cast of "Switched at Birth." Viewers will recognize Mitte from his breakout role as Walt Jr. on the acclaimed AMC drama "Breaking Bad," which aired its series finale this week.

Mitte has been cast in a recurring role on the ABC Family drama's third season. His character is described as Campbell, a pre-med college student paralyzed by a snowboarding accident who now works at the free clinic alongside Daphne (Katie Leclerc).

"Switched at Birth" creator, Lizzy Weiss, confirmed the casting news via tweet Thursday morning, stating, "We are thrilled to have him."
