Bravo Media gives a candid and unfiltered look into some of the unique and unconventional styles of raising children in the upcoming docu-series, "Extreme Guide to Parenting," premiering Thursday, August 7 at 9:30p.m. ET/PT. From "conscious-attachment" and "helicopter" to "hypnosis" and "push-parenting," these moms and dads believe their parenting techniques are the best and everyone else is doing it wrong. Each hour-long episode showcases different households with alternative styles of raising their children.

In the premiere episode, the Adler family practices an "eco-kosher, shamanistic" method of parenting. Mom Shira believes in an all-natural approach to raising her children, especially her 10-year-old indigo son Yonah to help treat his overactive personality. In addition, the Masterson-Horn family has a very hands-on approach to parenting. It took years for this gay couple (the "Guncles" from Oxygen's "Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood") to adopt their precious daughter, Simone, and now they never, ever leave her side.

Some of the other parenting styles explored this season include Marisa Eisenberg who wants her only child, Austen, to be the best at everything, even if it means pushing him to the limit. At the young age of four, he plays five sports, knows the U.S. Presidents and can write his name, but that's not enough for this over-achiever mom. Additionally, Christian and Nate Axness are "conscious-attachment" parents and practice elimination communication with 16-month-old Ella. They believe in being everything for their child; Christian breastfeeds on demand and they refuse to vaccinate their daughter. They also face a tough decision about whether to intentionally expose their daughter to chickenpox.

"Extreme Guide to Parenting" is produced by Punched In The Head Productions with Amelia D'Entrone, Craig D'Entrone and Lauren Lazin serving as Executive Producers.
