Rentrak Corporation (RENT), the global leader in box office measurement, today announced the worldwide weekend box office estimates for the weekend of June 16, 2013 as compiled by the company's Box Office Essentials and International Box Office Essentials theatrical measurement services.
Rentrak's President of Theatrical Worldwide, Ron Giambra commented, "Man of Steel opens at No. 1 worldwide with an estimated weekend gross of $184.7 million from only 25 markets, its worldwide cume is $194.7 million. Fast & Furious 6 surpasses $400 million internationally and The Hangover 3 and Star Trek Into Darkness both exceed $200 million internationally this weekend."
