Bona Film Group Limited Sets Record with 13 Wins at Hong Kong Film Awards

Bona Film Group Limited ("Bona" or the "Company") (Nasdaq:BONA), a leading film distributor and vertically integrated film company in China, today announced that its films received a record thirteen awards at the 33rd Hong Kong Film Awards ("HKFA") in Hong Kong on April 13th.

"We are completely thrilled to have Bona films bringing home a record thirteen top awards at the prestigious Hong Kong Film Awards," said Mr. Yu Dong, Founder, Chairman and CEO. "This is a ground-breaking achievement for China's film companies, and speaks to Bona's leading position in film production and dominance in creative resources in the film industry."

Bona-invested and distributed martial arts drama, The Grandmaster, directed by Wong Kar-Wai, and featuring internationally renowned actor Tony Leung and actress Ziyi Zhang, claimed 12 of the 14 awards for which it was nominated, including Best Film, Best Director and Best Actress. In addition, Nick Cheung was named Best Actor for his performance in the mixed martial-arts film Unbeatable, where he played a former boxing champion, and for which he also received the Golden Goblet Award for Best Actor at the 16th Shanghai International Film Festival. The Grandmaster and Unbeatable also achieved strong domestic box receipts, generating around RMB300 million and RMB120 million, respectively.

The 33rd HKFA marks the sixth Best Film win for a Bona produced and/or invested film, as After This Our Exile, The Warlords, Bodyguards and Assassins, Gallants, and A Simple Life were named Best Film in 2007,
2008, 2010, 2011 and 2012, respectively, making Bona the undisputed leader in the industry for its pursuit of top artistic standards.

HKFA, founded in 1982, are the most prestigious film awards in Hong Kong and among the most respected in Mainland China and Taiwan. Award ceremonies are held annually, typically in April. The Awards recognize
achievement in all aspects of filmmaking, such as directing, screenwriting, acting and cinematography. The awards are the Hong Kong equivalent of the American Oscars and the British BAFTAs.
