Blake Shelton, the reigning and five-time CMA male vocalist of the year, will perform "Lonely Tonight," his new single with Ashley Monroe, on the Monday, Dec. 8 telecast (8-10 p.m. ET/PT) of NBC's Emmy Award-winning series "The Voice."
Shelton, who is the winningest coach on "The Voice," has 18 #1 singles. His most recent and ninth studio album, "Bringing Back the Sunshine," debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard top 200 and top country albums charts. The first single from the album, "Neon Light," became Blake's 13th consecutive #1 single, the most by any country artist in the modern era.
Through the season's opening nine weeks, "The Voice" ranks as television's #1 reality series in adults 18-49 and all other key demographics, with its Monday and Tuesday editions combining to average a 4.3 rating, 13 share in adults 18-49 and 14.0 million viewers overall in "most current" figures from Nielsen Media Research. The Monday edition is the #7 entertainment series on the Big 4 networks so far this season with a 4.5 average in 18-49, leading NBC's Monday schedule to the #1 ranking among Big 4 entertainment lineups so far this season.
