In an interview with the New York Post on Friday, Bill Cosby, who is being accused by more than two dozen women of drugging them and raping them, broke his silence and revealed that he expects the media to remain "neutral" on the allegations. He also shared that his wife is standing by him through the ordeal.
Speaking from his Massachusetts home, the comedian chose not to specifically speak on the the rape and sex abuse allegationsm but said the the African-American media should remain impartial.
"Let me say this. I only expect the black media to uphold the standards of excellence in journalism and when you do that you have to go in with a neutral mind," the 77-year-old comedian commented.
Cosby is currently being represented by attorneys Martin Singer and John B. Schmitt, who have advised their client to refrain from speaking with reporters about the ongoing allegations, which go back as far as the 1960's.
