Big Screen Drama SON OF GOD Heading to Blu-ray/DVD, 6/3

SON OF GOD, the hit film which centers on the life of Jesus Christ', will come to Blu-Ray and DVD on June 3, the filmmakers reveal to USA TODAY exclusively.

According to the report, the DVD/Blu-Ray release will feature extras including a section called Son of God: Reborn. This features a documentary on what it's like to be a Christian in 2014 with interviews with varied religious leaders who worked with the filmmakers. There is also additional footage of the film's Passion sequence, featuring Jesus, played by Diogo Morgado. The footage is without words, set to Hans Zimmer's score.

Twentieth Century FOX released Son Of God in theaters nationwide on February 28, 2014.

Producer and Actress Roma Downey (Touched by an Angel, The Bible) and Producer Mark Burnett (The Voice, Survivor, Shark Tank, The Bible) brought the Epic miniseries "The Bible" to television audiences around the world with their company LightWorkers Media. Portuguese actor Diogo Morgado beautifully portrays the role of Jesus as the film spans from his humble birth through his teachings, crucifixion and ultimate resurrection. This movie has been able to bring leaders together with support from across all denominations. The producers focused from the very beginning on creating an experience that would be shared by all.
