Ben Chisholm (CHELSEA WOLFE) & Felix Skinner (WRECK & REFERENCE) Announce Collaborative LP Image

It was only a matter of time before the universe drove BEN CHISHOLM (CHELSEA WOLFE) and FELIX SKINNER (WRECK & REFERENCE)into one spectacular sonic collision. The commended multi-instrumentalists have joined forces to bring the world a post-rock masterpiece dubbed Burgeoning Verse. The album's first single, featuring special guest Andrew Clinco on drums, is a six-minute rumination that bobs and weaves through dulcet piano arcs and ambient haze. Listen to "IV" via Brooklyn Vegan today.

Though the fruits of their labors have only begun to surface this year, Chisholm and Skinner's collaboration has already spanned a half-decade. In early 2013, sickened by the accelerating decay of the world and their bodies, Chisholm and Skinner conspired an escape. Working in both digital and tactile formats, Burgeoning Verse is the product of a four-year toil-each of the album's ten tracks teeming with that near-maniacal devotion to their craft.

Employing a dizzying array of vintage guitars, drums, bassoons, analog synthesizers, and boutique effect pedals, the ingenious duo have crafted auditory landscapes that run the full gamut of the experimental canon. Swarming with ambient swaths, chiming piano melodies, and knotty synth fills, Chisholm and Skinner have defied their goal of creating "a soundtrack to your dreams."

Burgeoning Verse will be released on April 20 via Weyrd Son Records
