Becki Newton to Star in Fox Comedy Pilot THE GOODWIN GAMES

Fox has greenlighted a comedy pilot from the creative team of 'How I Met Your Mother' to be called THE GOODWIN GAMES, according to TVLine.com. The project, starring actress Becki Newton, will be executive produced by Carter Bays, Craig Thomas and Chris Harris.

The show is described as "a single-camera comedy about three siblings who must reconnect in order to inherit their recently-deceased father’s fortune." Newton will portray one of the siblings.  

Fox has recently announced that it has picked up the comedy pilots Little Brother (starring John Stamos and T.J. Little), Cougar Town creator Bill Lawrence’s semi-autobiographical Like Father, Prodigy Bully and a yet untitled show written by and starring The Office‘s Mindy Kaling. 

Newton will begin a guest starring arc on the CBS comedy 'How I Met Your Mother' this week. The actress is best known for her starring role in the TV series Ugly Betty. She also appeared in ABC.com's Mode After Hours webisode series and starred in GIRL CRAZY at City Center Encores!
