The 87th Oscars took place on Sunday February 22nd, and there were many memorable moments from the night! But, don't fret if you missed the show, I am counting down (my) top 10 moments--in gif form!

10. Neil Patrick Harris' Monologue

Neil starts the night with a joke pointing out the lack of diversity in this years Oscar nominees.

9. Oprah's Lego Oscar

Oprah looks so excited to get the Lego Oscar that was handed out during "Everything is Awesome!"

8. Benedict Cumberbatch

Cumberbatch's cutaway shows that he already knows he isn't winning the Best Actor award. (He's such a good sport).

7. Idina Menzel and John Travolta

Menzel and Travolta poke fun at his name flub at last year's Oscars, but his uncomfortable face-touching was all I noticed during this segment. This, along with his incredibly uncomfortable photo with Scarlett Johansson, made me wonder what his deal was.

6. Opening Song

As always, Neil Patrick Harris came through with a great opening number. I really loved seeing him superimposed in all of those classic films, and adding Anna Kendrick, as Cinderella, to the mix only makes it that much better!

5. Meryl Streep

During Patricia Arquette's acceptance speech she spoke about how everyone should have equal rights and how women deserve equal wages, and no one seemed more on board than Meryl Streep. I loved this cutaway, because it made Meryl even more likable, if that is possible.

4. David Oyelowo and Chris Pine

John Legend and Common's moving and beautiful performance of "Glory" was so moving that it brought many people to tears, including David Oyelowo and Chris Pine.

3. Eddie Redmayne

Eddie Redmayne may have won the Best Actor Oscar, but he also wins the cutest attendee award. Seeing the pure elation on his face when he accepts his Oscar put such a smile on my face.

2. Lady Gaga and Julie Andrews

Lady Gaga stole the night with her INCREDIBLE performance of songs from The Sound of Music, but seeing Julie Andrews come out after the performance to give her a hug gave me chills.

1. Acceptance Speeches

There were so many powerful acceptance speeches throughout the night, and I couldn't just pick one so I included them all. From equal rights, to awareness for ALS and Alzheimer's, to being reminded to "stay weird," there were so many inspring speeches that really left a mark.

I hope you enjoyed my Oscars countdown! What a great night filled with great moments! Thanks for reading, and if you think I missed anything, tweet us at @BWWTVWorld!
