TV EXCLUSIVE: Christine Ebersole on USA's 'Royal Pains'

USA will launch the 75-minute limited commercial premiere of ROYAL PAINS, the network's newest original scripted series, on Thursday, June 4 at 10/9c followed by 11 weekly one-hour episodes of the exciting drama. Broadway favorite Christine Ebersole guests on the pilot episode and the USA network created an exclusive clip of upcoming series for us here at BWW TV to share with all of you!

Christine Ebersole is currently starring on Broadway in Blithe Spirit, and is a two-time Tony-Award winner for Grey Gardens and 42nd Street. She has also garnered universal critical acclaim for her interpretatiosn of beloved classics and standards in nightclubs. The New York Times called her recent performance in the dual roles of Edith Bouvier Beale and "Little" Edie Beale in Grey Gardens as, "one of the most gorgeous performances ever to grace a musical." In addition to stage, Christine Ebersole has delighted audiences with roles in films such as "Tootsie" and "Amadeus," and her television career includes cast roles in "Saturday Night Live" and "One Life to Live."

ROYAL PAINS centers on a young E.R. doctor who, after being wrongly blamed for a patient's death, moves to the Hamptons and becomes the reluctant "doctor for hire" to the rich and famous. When the attractive administrator of the local hospital asks him to treat the town's less fortunate, he finds himself walking the line between doing well for himself and doing good for others.

Andrew Lenchewski ("UC: Undercover") wrote the pilot and serves as co-executive productive. The show is executive produced by Rich Frank ("Comanche Moon"), Paul Frank ("Comanche Moon") and Jeff Kwatinetz ("Big Momma's House") from Prospect Park, and Michael Rauch ("Love Monkey"). John Rogers ("Hide & Seek") also serves as co-executive producer. Jace Alexander (BURN NOTICE, "Warehouse 13") directed the pilot and will serve as co-executive producer on the series. ROYAL PAINS films entirely in New York (Long Island and Brooklyn) and at locations around The Hamptons.

ROYAL PAINS stars Mark Feuerstein ("What Women Want," "In Her Shoes," "Good Morning, Miami"), Paulo Costanzo ("Road Trip"), Jill Flint ("Gossip Girl") and Reshma Shetty ("30 Rock"). The pilot features guest appearances by Campbell Scott ("Six Degrees") and Christine Ebersole ("Saturday Night Live"). ROYAL PAINS is the first original series from Universal Cable Productions for USA.

USA's newest show, ROYAL PAINS, will provide fans with an interactive experience like no other - offering an insider's look at the posh life of the affluents who summer in the Hamptons - through usanetwork.com, Facebook and Twitter applications. The show's complementary online components will feature highly-immersive games and full episodes streaming; behind-the-scenes interviews with cast, producers and consultants; blogs and videos from the concierge doctor's perspective; along with engaging trivia and must-have applications that allow fans to adapt the language and style of the Hamptons crowd. The site will also be the portal to the ROYAL PAINS 'Hamptons Getaway' Sweepstakes, which will allow fans the opportunity to win a trip for two to the Hamptons.
