Ollie (aka ARROW, played by Stephen Amell) finishes out new hire training in the League of Assasins while Laurel (aka Black Canary, played by Katie Cassidy) asks Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) and Diggle (David Ramsey) help Nyssa (Katrina Law) fend off her father and the rest of the League. Keep your eye on the target, we'll get you caught up.

We open with what passes for new hire orientation at the League of Assasins: Sword fighting, Ollie chained down, Ollie awaken, more sword fighting, Ollie chained down, Ollie awaken...you get the picture. Ollie has the toughest time with Phyllis in payroll. The man just wants his checks direct-deposited, Phyllis! OK, I made that last part up. Payroll and HR for the League of Assasins sounds like a web comedy I'd watch, though. Just saying.

ARROW's first assignment is to kill Diggle. Diggle has been prisoner on the island the entire time. ARROW is being asked to prove his loyalty by killing Diggle. ARROW takes the sword from Ra's al Ghul (Matt Nable) and tells the other assasins to unbind Diggle's hands and give him a sword. He won't kill an unarmed man. They briefly fight. ARROW plunges his sword into Diggle. He kicks over the corpse. It isn't Diggle. Ra's tells him he's been drugged for the past three weeks.

Flashback #1: The bio-weapon has been released in Hong Kong. People are dropping dead. Ollie feels guilty for dropping the vial. Maseo (Karl Yune) tells him it wasn't his fault. Maseo's wife Tatsu (Rila Fukushima) is trying to reach her son on her cell phone.

Ra's continues to give ARROW the deluxe tour around the island (Ollie doesn't appear to be too conflicted about killing another man whom he thought for a minute was Diggle). Ra's mentions he trained at the same time with another man. He name drops Damien Darhk. In the comics, Darkh was a nemesis of the Teen Titans through an organization called H.I.V.E. Ra's tells ARROW Damien escaped with some of the water from the pit and continued in his own league with a "hive" of agents. I think we just heard the name of next season's villain.

Turns out Darhk was a rival to the throne and Ra's flinched. He tells ARROW that ARROW also has a rival that he must kill without mercy.

Back in Starling City, Black Canary is kicking criminal butt. He pulls a knive and cuts her. Nyssa shoots some rope arrows, quickly ending the fight. Canary underestimated her opponent. Canary tells Nyssa she didn't realize the perp had a knife. Nyssa kicks the guy and corrects her: he had two.

At a diner post fight, the gals enjoy a nosh. Nyssa laments how she doesn't understand why Americans insist on frying everything ("This is more oil than it is potato," she says as she holds up a fry). Laurel tells her to dip the fry into her chocolate milk shake. She does and decides she likes fries. It's a bff moment until Laurel spills that Ollie took the offer to succeed Ra's. Nyssa, it turns out, is his rival.

It's girl's night two at the Diggles. Felicity, Thea (Willa Holland) and Lyla (Audrey Marie Anderson) enjoy a nosh. Diggle is also there, but he's briefly kicked out of the dinner for putting his Glock on the dinner table. Felicity wants to design a new outfit for Diggle (seeing as he's pretty much taken Ollie's place). Thea is recovering from her resurrection, but still misses her older brother Ollie.

Flashback #2: The U.S. army is passing out what they say is the cure for the bio-weapon, but it's actually the bio-weapon. Tatsu has to save Ollie (again).

At Nyssa's hideout, Laurel apologizes for not telling her about Ollie sooner. Nyssa is sharpening her weapons. She explains to Laurel now that Ollie is in line to succeed Ra's, he has no choice but to come for Nyssa. On cue, ARROW and a slew of assasins glide onto a rooftop in the city. ARROW tells them Nyssa will face justice tonight for her betrayal.

Laurel begs Felicty and Diggle for help in protecting Nyssa. Laurel put a tracking device on her.

Flashback #3, Ollie and team blow up the truck containing the bio-weapon being handing out as a cure.

Laurel and Diggle are on a stakeout tracking Nyssa's moves. Felcity is at Ray's office feeding them intel. Laurel tells Diggle if anything happens to Nyssa, she wants to handle the League on her own.

Thea stops by the office to help the gang. Felicity has to tell her that Ollie might be behind the attack. They theorize that Ollie might be under the influence of something. Thea thinks she can get through to her brother. Felicity tells her Ollie wouldn't want his sister involved.

Nyssa meets ARROW on another rooftop. It is the same one where Sara (the first Black Canary) was murdered. She taunts ARROW, asking him if he even remembers Sara. They fight. ARROW disarms her. She tells him to kill her. If she's going to die, she wants to go out on the same roof her lover Sara did.

Before he can strike the final blow, the Black Canary tries out her signature sonic SCREAM (created by Team FLASH's Cisco last week). It is awesome seeing one of the character's signature weapons finally be used (and how cool to have woven Cisco into it as the inventor). ARROW jumps off the room.

As Nyssa tends to her wounds, she tells Laurel she is delaying the inevitable. She is marked for death.

At Palmer Tech, neither Diggle or Felicity can imagine that Ollie has changed as much as he has. "Oliver thought he was just giving up his live to Ra's, but he also gave up his soul," she tells Diggle.

At her loft, Thea has summoned her father Malcolm (John Barrowman) and needles him for any information on Ollie or the League. She seems shocked that her brother might have to kill someone. Malcolm has the best line of the night: "What did you think he would be doing in the League of Assassins?"

Ollie truly has gone over to the dark side. Diggle arrive home to find a crying baby. ARROW has taken Diggle's wife hostage. He has 30 minutes to deliver Nyssa to ARROW.

Diggle confonts Nyssa over Ollie's actions, The League doesn't realize there are some lines that should be crossed. The anger is misdirected, though. Laurel calls him out: trading one person's life for another is not how Team ARROW does things. Nyssa agrees to go. Laurel puts her foot down. Even if they get Lyla back, Oliver won't be the only one who lost his soul.

Lyla tells ARROW she can't believe he is the same man who weeks ago was at her wedding. After Diggle's brother died, Ollie was the one who pulled him out of his funk and gave him hope.

Flashback #4: Maseo and Tatsu return to their aparment. The elderly sitter is dead from the bio-weapon. Their son is fine.

Team ARROW arrives at the warehouse with Nyssa. Maseo pads each member down. He gets to Felicity and she defiantly tells him not to touch her. He doesn't pad her down. I'm guessing someone just under-estimated his opponent.

And I'm right. Lyla hugs Diggle and he whispers in her ear to also hug Felicity. She does and grabs two guns. Diggle and ARROW fight. Nyssa takes down a couple of assasins and then takes on Maseo. Ollie slices Diggle pretty bad and then kicks him in the wound for good measure. Ollie picks up a sword, prepared to finish Diggle off. An ARROW goes right through ARROW's arm holding the sword. It's Thea. She draws another ARROW and tells her brother to move away from Diggle or the next one goes in his eye. He walks away (seeing as he already has what he came for --Nyssa).

Back at the lair, Felicity asks if there is any way of getting Ollie back. Diggle tells her no. The only thing left for them to do is carry on as Team ARROW. Thea agrees.

ARROW presents Nyssa to her father back at the League. He's searching for something she has, but it isn't on her. The item is conceled in the handle of her blade. Ra's tells ARROW to finish her off. He motions to behead her. Ra's stops him and tells him he has broken his opponent. Instead, he betrothes Nyssa to ARROW as a means to unite the two factions. For Nyssa (who is a lesbian) it is a fate worse than death and she realizes her father knows that.

Final flashback: Hong Kong in chaos due to the bio-weapon being released. Maseo finds a car Tatsu tells her son they are all safe. He turns to her as a trickle of blood runs out of his mouth. He has been infected.

Felicity pays Thea a visit at her loft. Thea is in shock at how evil her brother has become. Felicity tells her that despite everything, she still loves him. She begs Thea to move on and be with the one she loves. Thea tells her that Roy is dead (no one got around to telling her that he faked his own death to get out of prison). Felicity tells her everything and hands her a slip of paper with the name Roy is now living under.

The final montage is of the team coping in their own ways: Diggle holds the picture of he and Ollie from his wedding, Laurel dips a fry into a milk shake and Felicity heads to what's left of the ARROW Lair (the police confiscated everything a few eps back), sits in a chair and sobs.

Ra's tells ARROW there is one more task he must do. The tour Ra's gave him was of the city he grew up in. Ra's is the one who destroyed it. ARROW must do the same to Starling City. He hands ARROW the item he took out of Nyssa's sword. It is another vial of the bio-weapon. ARROW needs to unleash it upon his former home, killing everyone there.
