Kelly Clarkson opened the show with her Christmas song "Underneath the Christmas Tree", and then advertised her special "Kelly Clarkson's Cautionary Christmas Tale", a special airing on NBC on December 11th.

Then, Matthew Schuler, Tessanne Chin, and Jacquie Lee performed "You Got The Love" by Florence and the Machine together.

After that, Carson gathered the Top 6 together to announce the first person through to the semifinals. First, he asked James Wolpert what it was like to leave a prestigious school, and what it would mean to him to make it through to the Top 5, and he answered that there's definitely pressure on him, and that it would mean the world to him to get to the Top 5. We're rooting for you, James!!

The first person to be sent through to the Top 5 is Jacquie Lee, my personal favorite!

Next up, Blake Shelton and Xenia sang "Silver Bells", as part of a continuing Christmas theme for this elimination episode.

The Voice Confessional was up next, asking what the contestants and judges what they'd do if they couldn't be a singer and what they'd do if they knew they'd be on the Voice. Some great answers to if they couldn't be a singer: a buffalo rider, an artist, and a teacher! Some great answers to what they'd do if they knew they'd be on the voice: preparing to be next to the hottest man alive, how much sleep he wouldn't get, and how dizzy he gets from spinning in the chair! The Top 6 (now five left) join again, and the next person saved is Cole Vosbury from Team Blake! Looks like Blake won't go down easy this season!

James Wolpert, Will Champlin, and Cole Vosbury sing "More Than Words" by Extreme, with Nuno Bettencourt from the group. Carson said he enjoyed it "more than he would ever admit on live TV"...we agree!!

Next, the people still on the chopping block gathered together, and Carson asked what it was like to be continually challenged by Adam, which he answered that he learned how to sing originally and stay true the song. The next person saved is Team Adam's Tessanne Chin!

Next, all of the Top Six come to the stage with a Christmas performance, each highlighting their unique voices on their own and in amazing harmonies in a melody of Jingle Bells and O Holy Night.

Next up is the bottom three, with Carson announcing one more saved person before the public Instantly Saves one of TWO tonight. He asked Matthew what he wanted to say to his family, and he wanted to thank them for their support in this amazing opportunity. Aww family love!! Carson then announced the final person saved for the night before Instant Save, Will Champlin from Team Adam!

This means that James Wolpert and Matthew Schuler were in the bottom two. This means that they have to be Instantly Saved. And America saved...James Wolpert! This means that all of Adam's team is still in the game!

This is definitely going to be an exciting two weeks, I will see you guys next week with the semi-finals!

This leaves the Teams with:

Team Blake: Cole Vosbury

Team Adam: Tessanne Chin, James Wolpert, Will Champlin

Team Christina: Jacquie Lee

Team CeeLo: N/A
