Well Biker Guys and Gals, we've hit the penultimate episode and the "Final Ride" will soon be upon us.

Wendy loved her new digs at Jax's house. It held so many memories for everyone. Imagine yourself there: to your right is where Tara was murdered by her mother in law, and to your left is where Wendy once overdosed; almost killing her unborn baby. Memories!

While Jax was trying to settle differences "between Black and Brown," Nero, wearing another divine cardigan, was keeping busy making arrangements for his upcoming farm life. Jax suggested Nero take Wendy and the boys to see the farm. After all, he'd already had at least a handful of scenes with the boys; fatherhood quota fulfilled.

Instead of beating him to death, a group of prisoners ran a train on Juice. They only showed the first guy, and although I knew what was to come, the idea still wasn't as traumatizing as watching Tully go to town on him. Juice seemed mostly indifferent. I guess when you're waiting for someone to kill you, a little sodomy isn't that big of a deal.

Gemma met the former COMMISH (Michael Chiklis) at a truck stop. They talked kids, families, the movie MILO AND OTIS, and about how neither of them is looking for a roadside hook up.

Jax tricked Unser into meeting with him so that he could ask him to cease the All Points Bulletin (APB) he's had the police put out on him. He needed to be free to roam Charming to tie up loose ends. He couldn't do that if the Sheriff's Department was looking for him. Granted, Charming had a seemingly inept police force so the APB was probably a quick dye job away from being useless. He told Unser the truth about Tara's murder. Ever since he found out, he has been a relative chatter box about it. Unser was shocked. SHOCKED, I say, and he wept in his car. At least I think it was weeping. It may have been dry heaves. Who knows?

Jax sat at the great wooden table and confessed that Jury wasn't a traitor, and that he had killed him based on a lie. So many lies. He was ready to accept his Club punishment, but not before getting them to agree to abolish some old school unwritten rule that we're not allowed to know about yet.

Nero affectionately referred to Wendy as a junkie, mentioned tossing her in a trunk, and the two of them laughed and laughed. Road Trip!

Gemma was on the run and NO ONE thought to look for her in Oregon at the nursing home where she'd left her father. It's not like she's big on family or anything. It took a phone call from Cordelia from BUFFY (Charisma Carpenter) to clueless Wendy, who let Jax and Nero in on her whereabouts. Oops. When Nero found out that Wendy had also told Jax where Gemma was, he asked Unser to go to her. This wasn't to save Gemma though. According to him, it was to save Jax. Nero, Jax's true Papa.

I'd forgotten Hal Holbrook played Gemma's dementia-ridden father. It depresses me, so I choose to remember him in his prime during DESIGNING WOMEN.

Juice confronted Tully in the cafeteria about his being tasked with killing him. He wasn't afraid, but he did want to finish his piece of pie. After his last bite, an intentional fight broke out, giving Juice and Tully the three seconds or however long it took for him to whisper sweet nothings in Juice's ear before stabbing him repeatedly in the neck. And by now you all know how I feel about Theo Rossi, so I'm not going to comment. I'll just, you know, use this commercial break to weep uncontrollably.

Unser, Unser, Unser. He found Gemma; tried to arrest her because he's a proper cop now. Jax showed up and demanded - at gun point - to be left alone with his mother. Proper cop's don't leave people to be murdered; he's on the straight and narrow now! So, Jax shot him.

Gemma and Jax had a little chat where she started to talk about how she loved Tara, but Jax quickly nixed that topic. She requested a visit to the garden before he killed her, which he allowed. She sniffed a few flowers and told him she was ready. Teary eyed and hesistant, he raised his gun with shaky hands. Let us think upon ALL the other people - including Unser only moments before - that he killed without question. Yes, I know this was his mother but I couldn't help but sneer at the reaction. She told him that this was what he had to do. I may have been even more angry at that point. DON'T GIVE ME PERMISSION TO PUNISH YOU.

So he shot her, and it was both glorious and empty. Oh, it was also followed by the removal of his blood stained sneakers, and awkward post-murder sex with Wendy.

And now we wait for the next week's series finale.

What did you think of tonight's episode? Will you miss the characters we've lost already? Are you on pins and needles about losing the show as a whole? How did you feel about Jax's final deed? Tell us in the comments below.
