Get ready folks because Walter and crew are headed to Las Vegas! Besides going to one of the most fun cities in the world, I have to be honest in saying this episode wasn't the greatest. However, stay with me and hopefully it'll be worth it in future episodes. Let's get started shall we?!
Walter and the gang get a private job in Vegas when a casino starts to lose a significant amount of money, and they don't know why. Agent Gallo on the other hand doesn't think they're ready to go out alone. Seeing he has a past gambling problem, Walter doesn't think Toby should go on the job. Paige however convinces him otherwise. Is that what she's only there for; to convince Walter to be nice? I'm really rooting for this character to be fleshed out and used more.
Moving on, can we talk about the suite the crew got in Vegas? They are definitely enjoying a life of luxury during this job. This job this time around is simple. Find out why money from the casino is disappearing and where to. Are the dealers playing to benefit the gamblers or is something else happening? While on site at the casino an armed robbery takes place.
After being accused of being involved with the robbery (where $10 million was stolen), and some back and forth jabs with Nevada's Chief of Police, Walter finds himself in the slammer. However, while he's there, the gang just doesn't sit idle, and starts brainstorming ways to get him out. After tossing around other ideas, they decide to go with Toby's love of blackjack and Sylvester's expertise of behavioral activities... more specifically they are going to take a risk and gamble in hopes of raising enough money to bail Walter out; yea, that seems rasonable. They almost have enough money to bail out their leader when Toby loses it all. Let's just say, it didn't help with reducing the animosity between Toby and Walter when the plan went south.
With the whole gambling plan ended up being a bust a new scheme is hatched, one that added a dose of perk to the show. A plan that includes hacking into the casinos security camera system and zip lining from rooftop to rooftop. I've said it first, I'll say it again, scenes like this that makes the show good. After spending some time in the slammer, Walter creates a concoction that helps him break through the locks of the jail bars. Call me crazy but this can't be that realistic can it? A tad far fetched for primetime TV if you ask me.
After being busted sneaking back into the hotel, Toby is captured by security and taken to the middle of the desert being forced to walk back to LA. It's in the car ride to the desert that we learn just exactly who the casino robber is. Who was the mastermind behind everything? The daughter of the casino owner! Dun dun dun! Toby is ordered to text Walter and the crew but when he does, and they show up, they come with a swarm of FBI agents including Agent Gallo to arrest the real criminals and send the crew home happy.
