It's time to fill the Vice Presidency. Does Susan Ross have the goods or is she just a pawn in the Grant's game? Olivia is on a mission to find solace for her neighbor's loved ones and Huck realizes just how much danger he has put his family in on an all new SCANDAL.

Olivia is still suffering from a tad bit of PTSD. (For starters, maybe wash the pillow? Or get a new couch? Just a suggestion). When her neighbor Lois' best friend, Rose (Guest Star, Marla Gibbs) comes around trying to find out what happened to Lois, Olivia puts Huck and Quinn on the quest of finding what happened to Lois body after they took her in the ambulance. They finally locate it and Olivia returns it to Rose, who as it turns out, was her lover since they were children. Olivia tells her that Lois died of an aneurysm and it was painless and quick. Seeing Rose's pain inspires her to throw out the couch cushion (that's a start) and try to move on.

Fitz and Mellie are still scheming to get Susan Ross the nomination for the new VP. When Susan blows her first press conference with a giddy, school-girl laugh, Abby and Cyrus call in Leo to coach her. He's a little too tough on her and Abby fires him. (Were we aware that Abby and Leo were a couple now? I was not.) Abby brings in the big guns, Olivia, to convince Susan to fight for the nomination because she's worthy. When Congress still won't confirm, Olivia tells Fitz he has to apologize to Congress for the way he handled the war and gain back their trust. He does and they confirm the new VP, Susan Ross. Still not exactly sure of Mellie's game here, but it will be interesting to watch play out.

David Rosen decides to have an office hour where people off the street can come in and talk to the Attorney General. Amongst all the crazies, arrives Kim, Huck's ex-wife, and she has brought all the B-613 files that Huck gave her. David runs to Jake and Huck to figure out who her husband, Diego Munoz is and Huck admits that it's him. He begs Kim to drop it, but she won't. Jake and David tell Huck to testify, but deny everything. In the formal testimony, Huck denies everything at first, but changes his mind and confesses everything in the hope that he can gain his family back. David, inspired by his move, decides that this is finally his opportunity to reveal the evil that B-613 was.

Couple things, first, I am incredibly fearful for Huck, Kim and Havi. I just don't see all three of them surviving this season. Charlie is still out there somewhere and he has some weird, sick loyalty to B-613. And we can't forget about Rowan. I'm sure he still has eyes everywhere. How will he react to this transparency?

Second, Liv and Fitz's tension was amazing. I love that they don't know what to do around each other and she still has no idea how to move on or who with. And can we talk about the awkward level when she and Fitz were in an intimate staring into each other's eyes moment and Abby and Cyrus were just... there?

Third, nothing against Guillermo Diaz's performance which is always impeccable, but didn't the title kind of give away the ending? Once we figure out who Diego Munoz was, was it not clear that Huck was going to tell all? Just me?

And lastly, Liv claims that only 47 other people have been offered the Vice Presidency. Excuse me while I nerd out for a bit, but I thought Joe Biden was the 49th. So if, in this world, Fitzgerald Grant succeeds Barack Obama and Fitz himself, has already had two Vice Presidents, wouldn't Susan Ross be the 52nd? (#math) I honestly don't know. Maybe this is a world with all fictional Presidents and Susan Ross genuinely is the 48th. Or maybe, this is an insignificant detail that I got completely distracted by. Nonetheless, I am curious to see what the plan is for the first family with this new VP. I sure hope they're not planning to use a single mother with a good heart as a sacrificial lamb in Mellie's political career. That would be very upsetting.

Lines I Love:

  • Susan - It was one laugh. Leo - Howard Dean just had one scream, Dukakis only rode in one tank, Mark Sanford only hiked one trail.

  • Olivia - It's okay to be afraid. Sometimes fear keeps us safe. Sometimes, it holds us back.

  • David - You told me to go get the bad guys. I'm going to get the bad guys. Jake - Rosen, WE are the bad guys. David - Not anymore.
