How would you feel if your dad showed up with a new girlfriend that just happens to be your old High School nemesis? (I won't name names, but I would be horrified!) Can Jess keep her cool? Guest star Kaitlin Olson, as "Trashley Berkman," has arrived to shake things up and Cece cannot wait to watch!

Jess is taking the grown up approach and trying incredibly hard to be supportive of her Dad (guest star, Rob Reiner) as she hasn't really done so with past girlfriends. Cece, her lifelong friend, has always been along for the ride for these sabotage missions and she is quite excited to see the latest. Jess' newfound maturity is shaken when the new girlfriend just happens to be an acquaintance from high school that had a less than stellar reputation. In fact, she stole Jess' boyfriend and gave him the river disease, giardia. Even with this knowledge, she is determined to give her a chance. After a breakfast together reveals that Trashley did, in fact, sleep with their D.A.R.E. officer in High School, along with hundreds of others, she's been in sex rehab four times and her Dad is determined to marry her, Jess' patience is worn out, and this means war. Cece is delighted.

On edge as always, Schmidt is tasked with trying to land an account at work to sell sponges to men. His three male roommates don't seem to be any help in the inspiration department, however, when he gets one chance to prove himself by hiring a focus group, who does he turn to? Hand-feeding the boys lines, he pulls them into his office to try and win the sponge account. Not surprisingly, they are not at their best as Coach improvs on his scripted lines, Winston cannot act and Nick meets a woman and is distracted. But Nick comes through as he defends Schmidt and Schmidt can use him as an example of how badly men need to clean. His boss buys it and he wins the account.

Jess and Cece uncover some dirt on Ashley and out her but it turns out to be a THREE'S COMPANY type of misunderstanding. Jess sees that her dad really loves her and assists him in proposing to Ashley.

Call me cynical, but I feel as though there is more to Ashley than this transformation from High School to sex addict to doting fiance. I should say, I sure hope there is. Although the wedding would be very entertaining as Jess said, I am still worried for Papa Day. Schmidt working with the three boys is as magical as I had hoped it would be. I'm still not entirely comfortable watching Nick hit on other women but it did provide for a funny B story. I really hope Coach gets his own storyline soon. It feels like right now he is treading water just waiting for a place in the show. Last season he was hired as a Coach at Jess' school but we haven't gone back to that. In fact, why has there been no mention of school yet. Episode One was about the end of summer so I would think back to school would be a big deal right about now. As far as episodes go, there were definitely some great moments but of this season, it is the lightest thus far.

MVP - Rob Reiner. Meathead's still got it.

Runner Up - Schmidt at his absolute highest of maintenance, my favorite type of Schmidt.

Favorite Lines:

  • Jess - Have either of you seen the French Press? Schmidt - The French Press is in cupboard 64B. Did you not consult your item map?

  • Schmidt - I've gone from riches to rags. It's a reverse Annie. Nick - Spoiler Alert, now you've just ruined Annie.

  • Schmidt - Let's blast America right in the face with a little bit of Schmidt.

  • Nick - You should see his side of the room. It looks like the inside of a Japanese subway.

  • Jess - And at 11:53, cumin? What is he cooking? Cumin?

Between NEW GIRL and THE MINDY PROJECT, we have now seen nearly all of the IT'S ALWAYS SUNNY cast on FOX. Your move, Charlie Day.
