Last week on HEROES REBORN, we watched as the collision of individual worlds continued to grow and escalate: Luke and Malina join forces on their quest to find Tommy (and save the future, of course); Katana Girl and Ren finally make it to the fortress where Katana Girl's father is a captive; Quentin finds his sister, but quickly loses his life; and HRG finds Hiro and heads back in time to #SaveTheCheerleader.
But despite all of those major, gut-wrenching events (all happening in the same episode, no less), I can't help but to feel a little bit disapointed. Everything just felt so...lackluster and flat. Trust me - I don't like saying that (hence the disappointment). I wanted to be hooked on this season like I was hooked on the first season or two of HEROES. Instead, I'm finding myself a bit apathetic to it all - more like I felt about the last few seasons of HEROES. I've yet to be completely captivated by a script for HEROES REBORN. Maybe tonight's episode (as action packed as it should be!!) can help change that.

Can't wait until tonight for some EVO action? Watch a preview for tonight's episode below:
8:08: You know what's not nice? Torturing EVOs. That's what's not nice.
8:12: Dennis is absolutely adorable.
See, now, this is interesting. I'm liking this backstory. (I guess it's not really backstory, per se...) It helps give context.
8:16: What's this? He's trapping Hiro in the game? Is Hiro going to be our new Katana Girl? HA, sorry, I laughed out loud as I wrote that. I couldn't resist.
This should've been HRG's giveaway that something was going to go wrong. Erica's acting pretty strange, and she's taking a strange interest in Claire.
Not to mention her views on EVOs and evolution in general.
8:19: Ok, fine, I guess he knew something was wrong, but still, I feel like he should've done more! Oh well. I guess they say hindsight's 20/20.
Now go #SaveTheCheerleader, Noah. Or rather, your daughter. Or Claire. Or whatever you want to call her.
Good luck with that bomb, Hiro.
8:21: She died in what now?
Childbirth? Heh?!
8:25: No, Mohinder, don't go with Erica's henchmen!
But back to Claire. How can Claire die if she can regenerate and come back to life? That's a tricky moment. You're devastated that your daughter has died (or has she?), but you're elated that her kids (and your grandkids) are adorable and healthy.
8:28: WOAH, Hiro just cut that guy's arms off! Alright, that was pretty darn cool.
Oh. Now there are three of him. Maybe cutting his arms off wasn't actually the best idea.
Freezing time mid-fight. Seems like a bit of an unfair advantage to me. Although I do have to say, I'd do the same thing if I were Hiro. Why the heck not?!
8:35: This darn "penny for your thoughts" guy. I forgot how much he irks me. I want to like him, but he just irks me.
Funny how sometimes the alternatives are worse than the initial outcome. Hiro could've stopped the bomb, but it was difficult and the alternatives were much worse.
8:40: Come on, Phoebe, don't listen to Erica! She's a villain! You're not! At least, not yet!
Alrighty, convention-goers, when you see a giant swirly dark cloud that's blacking out the entire sun, that's a sign to get out of there as fast as you possibly can, not stand there and stare at the sky in amazement.
Thank you, Noah, at least somebody thought to try and get people out of there.
8:46: And just like that, we're back to where it all began: Odessa after the explosion.
Ooh, Angela, you've got a lot of information packed into that head of yours, don't you!? An extinction in a year, one that only Claire's child can stop, but you don't know which one? No pressure or anything, little babies!
Ha! Poor Hiro trying to feed that little baby.
You go, Noah, remembering what you had to forget!...or something like that...!
8:50: Oh man, I hope Luke finds Dennis! I mean, I know how things worked out the first time, but still, I have hope! Just like Luke!
That's true, Noah, those babies do need names!
Now, I know Hiro said "no more butterflies," but Noah sure looks like he's got a few more butterflies up his sleeve.
8:59: Better watch out, Noah, you're right behind yourself!
Well, Tommy and Malina are brother and sister, and Claire is their mom.
Interesting preview.
