Winn summed up this episode when he said, "This did not use to happen at CatCo." A White Martian came to Earth hunting M'Gann and ended up trapped in the DEO, J'onn finally admitted his feelings for M'Gann, and Kara and Alex sorted through some sister issues.

The episode opened at the alien bar where Mon-El is proud to show off that he has learned about Kara's favorite drink, club soda. Kara says, "I know things have been a little weird," and Mon-El cracks a joke that the people in the bar have told him that earth men are only supposed to care about sports. Kara says that she isn't sure if they're a good match and that she needs to focus on her career. All of this seems fairly reasonable, but then she says, "Even if I did have time to date someone, I wouldn't date someone who is..." Was perfect the word she was looking for? Poor Mon-El looked so hurt!

When Kara tells Alex that Mon-El said he likes her, Alex sarcastically quips, "I am so shocked." Kara is excited for the two of them to celebrate her earth birthday and says that she even made them a reservation to go contra line dancing. However, Maggie surprised Alex with tickets to see Bare Naked Ladies, her favorite band, so she asks if they can celebrate another night. Kara reluctantly tells her that it's okay, but she's clearly not.

On a side note, I loved when M'Gann told Kara that Mon-El had been only drinking club soda for the whole past week. He's so endearing in so many ways.

M'Gann goes outside and confronts J'onn that he has been following her in different forms. She asks him why he doesn't trust her but he insists that he just wants to be ready when the White Martians arrive. Of course, as soon as M'Gann says that they have time, a White Martian shows up and starts fighting the two. Kara joins the fight as well, before the White Martian runs off.

Back at the DEO, Kara is obviously worried about Winn working with the Guardian. "You have to see how crazy this is," she insists, but Winn says, "Have you ever thought that maybe I have a calling too?" I love how strong Winn and Kara's friendship is and how concerned she is about him working with James.

M'Gann tells everyone that the White Martians are hunting her for her war crimes. J'onn asks her to stay at the DEO, but she says that she doesn't need protection. "This is my fight, J'onn," she tells him.

M'Gann is at the bar when the White Martian, Armek, comes in. Turns out he's her husband (plot twist!), although their marriage was obviously unhappy. She says, "I thought you were dead and I suppose it gave me comfort." He tells her that M'Gann's treachery is legendary on Mars, but that it is a paradise without the Green Martians. He gives her two hours to turn herself in or he says that he will find her friends and kill them. J'onn finds her on her way out and tells her that she isn't alone and that he will help her.

Alex and Maggie are hanging out before the concert, but Alex is clearly distracted. Maggie asks why she isn't excited and she admits that she thinks she hurt Kara's feelings. Maggie says, "You know, the days of you pushing down your feelings are officially over so go." Honestly Maggie and Alex have an ideal relationship.

Alex goes to check in with Kara, who says that she's not upset though she (once again) clearly is. M'Gann shows up at the DEO...but then another M'Gann walks in. One of them is Armek in her body and he and J'onn immediately start fighting. The lights go out and when Winn brings them back up, the second M'Gann is gone. J'onn puts the DEO on LOCKDOWN to keep the White Martian where they can find him. "It could be any of us," Kara realizes.

When Winn suggests that they ask personal questions to figure out who is the White Martian, J'onn points out that White Martians can read minds and take on another person's personality. The other agents start turning on each other and J'onn says that there's psychic interference so he can't read their minds.

J'onn says that the best way to see who is the White Martian is for everyone to hold their hand up to a flame because it will reveal a White Martian's hand. J'onn is nervous, because it will reveal him as a Green Martian, but M'Gann comforts him. I screamed when it was revealed that the White Martian was Winn. It was so cool to see Jeremy Jordan get to do something quite different from normal as he played a bad guy so brilliantly. One of my only complaints about SUPERGIRL is that it doesn't use Jeremy Jordan's true acting skills as much as it could.

Armek escapes and sabotages the nuclear REACTOR so that the whole building will explode in fifteen minutes. He took Winn's intelligence so he was able to recode everything in a way that only Winn could undo. As my friend Jenna said, "This is what happens when you rely too much on how smart Winn is and it screws you over."

Alex apologizes to Kara as they search for the real Winn. Kara and her have a tearful honest talk with Kara admitting that she is worried about being abandoned again because of what happened with her parents. "I will never abandon you," Alex reassures her.

J'onn and M'Gann are also having an emotional conversation. M'Gann insists that she shouldn't have gotten the DEO involved, but J'onn tells her that he isn't helping her because it's his duty. "You've become dear to me in a way no one has been since..." he tells her. Anyone else absolutely melt when he told her that her spirit is beautiful and that he would protect her?

Their conversation is interrupted when they find the real Alex stuck in a strange web, alerting them that the Alex with Kara is fake. J'onn tells her and the two begin to fight. Unfortunately because of the unstable nuclear reactor, Kara can't use her heat vision.

J'onn finds the real Winn, who is freaking out about the White Martian. He hands Winn an iPad and asks him to fix the nuclear REACTOR but he can't do it on a mobile device. J'onn takes Winn to the REACTOR room where Kara and one of the White Martians are fighting. Armek and J'onn fight and he gleefully says, "I haven't killed a Green in centuries." M'Gann helps J'onn and they both fight Armek in Green Martian form.

Kara defeats the second White Martian as M'Gann kills Armek and Winn stabilizes the reactor. I have to agree with Winn when he said, "It feels like it's been one week" instead of one evening. Kara tells Winn that he did a good job and when he says that he's going to join James, she just says, "Be safe." I'm glad that Winn and Kara are back on good terms and that he's seeing that he can be a hero at the DEO too.

J'onn thanks M'Gann for saving him during the fight but is clearly uncomfortable with what he confessed to her. She tells him that the last person who cared about her was her mother and she had forgotten what it feels like. She admits that she has decided to return to Mars, despite the risks, in case there are other White Martians like her that she can help. J'onn is upset, but she says that he showed her what it is to stand up and fight for what's right.

Kara is watching TV at her bougie apartment when Alex shows up at the door with a cupcake and a candle. (Can I say that I LOVED K ara's "Power to the Girls" t-shirt?) Alex tells Kara that Maggie understands why she had to miss the concert. She also asks her if the vague memories she has of a conversation with her are real. She tells her, "Just because I'm with Maggie doesn't mean I'm not with you."

Alex also asks if Kara was so preoccupied with plans for her earth birthday because she was trying to distract herself from the situation with Mon-El. "Every time I put myself out there, it backfires," Kara tells Alex. Her sister reminds her she took a huge romantic risk with Maggie and it paid off and encourages her to talk to Mon-El.

M'Gann is preparing to leave for Mars when J'onn apologizes for his confession. "I feel it too; I have for a while," she tells him. They have a sweet heart-to-heart before she leaves. Seeing J'onn heartbroken was so sad. I'm really going to miss having M'Gann on the show as she was an incredible character and Sharon Leal is a great actress.

Kara runs into Mon-El at CatCo and discovers that he's headed out to lunch with a secretary. When the girl runs to grab her cell phone, Mon-El asks if everything was okay at the DEO. There's such awkward tension between us and Kara even asks if it's a date. When Kara calls him out on his quick turnaround, he says, "You gotta swipe right until you find the one." Poor Kara! There's nothing worse than putting yourself out there and it not working out.

Anyone else devastated by the way things ended between Kara and Mon-El in this episode? Who's excited for Lena Luthor to return next week? Don't forget to tune back in next week for another episode of SUPERGIRL and check back for my next recap.
