Lee Pace Alert! Lee Pace Alert! That's right, the Piemaker himself showed up on THE MINDY PROJECT tonight. Is Mindy's billionaire handsome ex-boyfriend enough to make her question her relationship with Danny? No, not really, but it sure was a fun ride. I mean he speaks Japanese for Pete's sake!

Mindy is having trouble living in San Francisco without Danny. He finally encourages her to go out and enjoy the city while she's there. She takes her pathetic and recently dumped Professor along with her for a night on the town. Only thing she didn't count on was running into her ex-boyfriend, Xander. (Did I mention Lee Pace?) He is the ex she lost her virginity to and vice versa. Turns out, a few years back, Xander sent Mindy an email and tried to rekindle their relationship, but Mindy never got the email. Would that night have changed their paths? Even though he's intriguing, Mindy does finally confess that she's in love with Danny and she's sorry she didn't get the email. Until Xander's girlfriend he forgot to mention shows up too. (Guest Star, Chrissy Tiegen.) OK, so he may be rich, tall, handsome, and Lee Pace, but maybe he's not the greatest guy after all and is better left a memory.

Back in New York, Morgan cashes in on a three year old promise from Dr. C to hangout in 2015. Dr. C consents but the twosome accidentally witness Lauren, Dr. Reed's girlfriend, at Peter's apartment next door. In the worst detective work since Jack Tripper, they deduce that Peter and Lauren are having an affair. In reality, Peter is babysitting Henry, Lauren's son. Dr. Reed shows up after an alert from Morgan, but they cover it by telling him that it was Morgan who was cheating with Mindy. (I can't believe he bought that.) But it gets Peter thinking, and then to kissing Lauren when she picks up Henry. And can we guess who the only witness to the kiss is? That's right, Morgan. After all, he did wish for a birthday kiss. (He just wasn't specific enough, apparently.)

It was genuine pleasure watching Morgan's genuine pleasure that he got to hang out with Danny. He is so happy just to be around the doctors at the office, it's like watching a little kid. And to be forced into a secret with them is beyond his wildest dreams so much that even a slap across the face from Danny makes him smile. And now once again, Morgan is in the precarious position of having a secret that only he knows. This can't end well.

Lines I Love:

  • Danny - You're in a new place, go experience it. Would you go to Las Vegas and not experience historic Lake Mead?

  • Danny - If it's out of the office, it's none of our business. Did I hear Beverly's voice come out of an Elmo in the middle of Times Square? Maybe. But, it's none of our business.

  • Mindy - Forget about Barb. We're out in San Francisco, the Windy City! You could meet the love of your life here. It is Sin City, after all.

  • Mindy - The year was 2004. America was still able to enjoy the music of R. Kelly without guilt and there was something going on in Iraq that I don't really remember.

  • Xander - OK, you should go. She won the secret Hunger Games we billionaires have.

This will be interesting as Lauren is going to be forced to choose between Peter and Jeremy. The two have finally mended fences about her, but I believe the tension is just beginning. Is this going to be the catalyst that drives Peter away from Shulman & Associates? Please, don't leave Dr. Prentiss... please? Oh and when exactly is the release date for Tamra's memoir, as I need to buy multiple copies as soon as possible.
