Listen, I am not a psychiatrist by any means, but I think there is a slight chance, that Olivia Pope has some PTSD after her kidnapping last fall that may be starting to manifest itself. Anyone? Just me?

So, like, that happened! But I'm getting ahead of myself...

Under the false assumption that Lillian Forrester is pregnant with Fitz's seed, Abby realizes that Lillian has actually been sneaking into medical hospitals to interview, a now recovering, former VP, Andrew Nichols. He has made a deal with her to tell her everything about West Angola and Fitz's decision to go to war to save his girlfriend. Abby assembles the old gang including Liz, David, Mellie, Fitz who are all panicked, except Cyrus who has immunity. Plan A is to send Mellie in and play on his heart strings. Fail. He calls her out immediately. Plan B is to have Huck kidnap him and set him up in the underground lair at the White House. Plan C is set in motion as they negotiate with him to keep his mouth shut for his price of $10 million dollars in an offshore bank account. (How does one acquire one of those? People always seem to have them at the ready...)

Liv calls in a favor from Eli and Jake to monitor Lillian Forrester so they can see what she has and is ready to publish. They agree to help out explaining to her that this will only delay the inevitable solution: killing Andrew. She claims she is not them and will find an intellectual way to solve it. Eli and Jake laugh knowing full well, they're right. (Still don't get their relationship...)

Liz and Fitz agree to pay the $10 million dollars, but once the money is transferred, Andrew ups his price to $20 billion followed by a list of ridiculous, sexist and disgusting requests. Realizing he is not going to negotiate, Fitz decides he will fall on the sword and make Andrew a hero. Abby wants to desperately prevent this and asks Liv for advice. She soon realizes that Liv still thinks of herself as Abby's boss. Abby does a power play and goes to Andrew by herself to persuade him to switch the focus to Mellie. The press gets ahold and Abby gets in Liv's face and is all "Uh, you work for me not the other way around." (Some of this has been paraphrased). Liv goes to see Andrew in full meltdown mode and mixed with her kidnap flashbacks and her current feeling so rage, she beats him to death with a chair so brutally that Huck would be horrified. When Abby and Fitz arrive, he comforts Liv and she warns Abby to never cross her again. She returns to Eli and Jake's who welcome her "home."

Okay so what the ever-loving hell just happened? Olivia just fully crossed over to the darkside. Is she even redeemable at this point? I mean Andrew Nichols was NO saint, by any means, but my goodness, how can she recover from this?

In other news, Marcus convinced the Cardinal to endorse Mellie so she could win over some Latino voters and Alex Vargas did some digging and found out that Tom is Cyrus' lover and happened to be there the night of his brother's shooting. He presents this evidence to Cyrus' husband Michael and offers a chance for them to work together.

But for reals, is this a complete mental breakdown or is she just succumbing to her genetics? Can someone get this girl some legit therapy at some point? Because we're very much near the point where she is going to become unsympathetic. When Huck and Quinn are looking at you like YOU'RE the psycho, it's a red flag! And Marcus? Dude, I don't know why you're still there. I'd walk if I were you. Your boss is a psycho and her minions aren't much better. You're a good guy. Go sleep with Mellie, we know that's where you're headed anyway.

As far as the Vargas brothers? It's like, either give us more or give us none, but these little doses of them thrown into bigger plot episodes isn't doing it for me. I obviously like Alex because he's hot and evil and I have a type (#jake), but I want to delve more into it. We have spent a few episodes on the Susan/David drama and now Liv's meltdown, if these are seriously the election contenders, I want to know more about Vargas. I mean obviously the show is going to live on after the Grant Administration so I want to know these candidates. Who is going to lead Shonda's America? President Vargas or President M. Grant? Drumpf? Ross?

Here's a preview for the next all new episode in two weeks:
