Barry (aka THE FLASH, played by Grant Gustin) takes Earth-2's Harrison Wells (Tom Cavanagh) up on advice and uses Linda Park (Malese Jow) to pose as Dr. Light in order to trap Zoom. What could possibly go wrong, am I right? We've got our running shoes laced up. We'll get you caught up in no time.

Trusting Wells so soon despite the warning of Earth-2 Flash Jay Garrick (Teddy Sears) seemed like a dumb idea, but here we are.

Exactly where is a dock in Central City. Dr. Light and THE FLASH are duking it out. She nails him with a burst of energy and he falls. She grabs the lightning emblem from his chest.

And then we flash to 72 hours earlier. FLASH visits Dr. Light in her metahuman holding cell at S.T.A.R. Labs. She was supposed to kill him, throw something of his into the void to prove THE FLASH is dead and then Zoom will take her back to Earth-2. Barry tells her he has a plan to stop Zoom and she agrees to help. If you had Linda Park in the FLASH deadpool, you're about to make a killing. No way both Earth-1 and Earth-2 Lindas are making out of this episode.

Barry then briefs Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) and Cisco (Carlos Valdes). Caitlin is concerned with Dr. Light's reversal. Cisco is pissed they plan on throwing the lightning emblem he made into the void. Harrison has a serum that will slow Zoom and wants Cisco to develop a weapon to deploy it. Caitlin reminds everyone that Captain Cold's freeze gun was originally made by Cisco and she doesn't think Cisco should create another weapon and run the risk of it falling into another villain's hands. Det. Joe West (Jesse L. Martin) casts the deciding vote. "It's as good of a plan as any," he says.

Of course, Joe tells Caitlin and Cisco that he's just giving Harrison enough rope to hang himself. Everyone seems to forget that they are putting Linda's life at risk.

Flashback #1: Earth-2 and Harrison is chewing out one of his employees via speaker phone. Harrison's daughter Jesse Quick (Violett Beane) walks in on dad and she mentions that it still freaks her out how different he speaks at work as compared to home. She then confronts him about Jay's accusation that Harrison caused the explosion that created the metahumans. He tells her she should get to school and she retorts "I got my education today."

Patty Spivot (Shantel VanSanten) is waiting for Joe at the precinct. She's been up all night studying Dr. Light and theorizes some of the powers she might have (including today's red herring: invisability). He tells her the case is closed, but he won't elaborate. Barry arrives and he and Patty flirt some more over last episode's make out session.

At the paper, Linda asks Iris (Candice Patton) if she's heard anything about Dr. Light. Iris lies and tells her THE FLASH is working on it.

Cisco arrives at Dr. Light's cell with some food. It's empty. Or seemingly empty. He opens the cell door and the invisable Dr. Light flys past him. He sounds the alarm to lock all the doors, but she's hacked the system already and she's gone before THE FLASH even arrives.

With Dr. Light's escape, Joe is reconsidering whether now is a good time to trust Harrison and go after Zoom. He wants Barry to find Jay. Barry doesn't want to wait around while Zoom sends more metahumans after him, putting countless innocent people at risk.

Cisco pats Harrison on the back to congratulate him on some breakthrough and Harrison freaks out. He immediately suspects Cisco has "vibed" on him and glimpsed something that he doesn't want them to know. And it turns out, he was right. Cisco was trying to get the drop on him. Caitlin wonders why this seems so personal for Harrison.

Flashback #2. An Earth-2 TV announcer reveals that the ARROW has been unmasked as billionaire Robert Queen (Olliver's dad who is very much deceased on Earth-1). Eath-2 Ollie is the one who died in the boating accident. The news report is interrupted with a breaking story about a meta-human attack on the university where Harrison's daughter attends. He rings her as the live camera shot picks up her discarded phone among the rubble. The meta-human escaped with a human hostage and Harrison realizes it was his daughter.

Patty opens up to Joe about her romance with Barry. Joe remains unphased. She asks him if there is anything he's keeping from her and he lies and tells her no. The look on her face shows she knows he is hiding something.

With the real Dr. Light on the lam, THE FLASH asks Linda Park to don the suit. Cisco has rigged some gloves to approximate Dr. Light's firepower and, after a rough start, Linda has mastered them. She is still having doubts though. Barry later appears to her and removes his mask. Her reaction is priceless "Holy crap! I've made out with THE FLASH."

Cisco approaches Harrison again and fakes a chemical spill as a reason to touch him again. His vibe power works this time and he sees Jesse being held in a cell and being threatened.

Patty confronts Joe again, Joe blows her off (but not before insisting he isn't a dirty cop). She then catches up with Barry and asks him to dinner so she can bounce some things off him. He tells her he can't as he and Joe have something to do that night. She's immediately suspicious.

We're at the docks. It's Linda as fake Dr. Light pretending to injure Barry. She tosses the emblem into the void. Joe and Harrison have guns with Harrison's serum pointed at the void.

Zoom is a no-show, though. Harrison is not used to being wrong and storms off in a huff. Barry, meanwhile, speeds over to the precinct to make it up with Patty by making out with her. And it is about right now that I'm wondering who is watching (and protecting) Linda.

At the newspaper, Linda and Iris are enjoying a beer. Linda heads home, but is confronted by Zoom the minute she leaves the paper. He risks her away. Epic Team FLASH failure!

He takes Linda to the top of S.T.A.R. Labs. THE FLASH zooms up to confront him. Zoom tosses Linda off the building. Barry races down the building, uses his tornado arms to make some counter wind to slow her fall and then catches her.

Barry attempts the thunderbold move that Jay taught him, but Zoom is able to literally catch the bolt and throw it back at Barry. He then kicks the snot out of Barry. Harrison runs outside with the second serum, but can't get a clean shot of Zoom. He injects the serum into Barry, turns to Harrison (who had a shot, but froze) and tells Harrison he's next.

He takes Barry's unconscious body around to the newspaper and to the precinct and announces the days of THE FLASH protecting the city are over. He then takes Barry to S.T.A.R. Labs and tells Harrison what an idiot he was. He then proceeds to deal the final death blow to Barry.

Cisco fires the gun at Zoom. The serum hits the target and Zoom goes down --but only temporarily. He zooms off.

Joe has a few words for Harrison. Caitlin tells Joe that Barry has stabilized. Cisco returns Harrison's outing of his metapowers by asking who is Jesse in front of eveyrone. Harrison is forced to come clean: he was trying to capture Zoom to save his daughter.

There's one more shocker, though. Barry wakes up and tells Team FLASH he can't feel his legs. Your thoughts? Comment below and follow me @triggercric and follow @BWWTVWorld for all the latest updates, scoops and recaps.
