Almost everybody's lives are on the up and up these days, except for my dear, sweet Lip. Will he be able to pull himself out of this downward spiral? Now that he's headed back home, his self-discipline will be put to the test.
After his alcohol poisoning, Lip finds out in his blackout that he also did, let's just say, some real bad things. He loses his job at the sorority house and is sent to mandatory alcohol counseling for violating the school policy. He also manages to get into a fight with his mentor and walks out of his TA position. The only solution is to move back home. Come on, Lip, even Carl has it together more than you do, at this point.
Speaking of Carl, Dom's father, the cop, doesn't like him too much. Dom suggests Carl go on a ride along with her Dad. Even though he survives the day, even takes down a perp to help the sergeant, he still doesn't like Carl and is ready to kill him if he finds out he's sleeping with Dom. Something good does come out of the day though, Carl decides he wants to be a cop.
On Caleb's urging, Ian gets tested for HIV but is scared to share his sexual history in front of Caleb. Ian takes the Paramedic test and aces it, but can't send the form in to accept certification as he would have to admit he spent time in a mental institution. Caleb encourages him to lie about it and send it in anyway and to start trusting Caleb. Caleb takes him out to a fancy dinner to celebrate his accomplishment that he had planned even before he took the test.
As Kev is desperate to find another plan for Svetlana to stay in the country, he decides to buy her a new identity on Craig's List. When he purchases a Social Security Card with 10 numbers instead of nine, he realizes he's too late anyway. V and Svetlana got married at City Hall.
Fiona is insistent on planning a traditional wedding for complete with a white wedding gown and a bachelorette party. And, to Sean's chagrin, no sex before the wedding. At her bachelorette party, Kev and all the regulars from the bar perform a strip tease for Fiona. It is... unforgettable, to say the least.
Up at the Eco-Village, Frank taunts Jupiter to let him keep working in the opium tent instead of the compost pile. Jupiter challenges him to a fight in a mud (or at least I hope it's mud) pit. Frank fights dirty and wins causing the ladies of the village to desire him. When Queenie finds out, she stakes her claim on Frank and fights the other women for him. Debbie is starting to feel labor pains and is taken to the birthing tent which is quite the opposite of her luxurious maternity tent. Freaked out, she begs Frank to take her to the hospital. He helps her escape, but takes her home. Waiting for him at home are G-Dogg's men who take him and are ready to kill him when he takes them to the opium tent. G-Dogg's men and Jupiter have a shootout.
Back home, Debbie is ready to have the baby. The Gallaghers spring into action on the kitchen table. Lip Googles baby delivery as Svetlana and V deliver her daughter who she names Frances, after Frank since he's the only one who stood by her. The ambulance arrives and Fiona offers to go with her to the hospital, but Debbie declines saying she will do it on her own, per Fiona's wishes.
The only thing working in Lip's favor is that maybe being around his siblings who are getting their lives together will, for once, be good for him. Maybe even Sean can work a miracle, I mean, look at what he's done for Carl? A strong male figure would be good for him. Even though the Professor has done wonders, clearly, Lip had some pent up frustrations toward him. I hope they make up though, they were cute as pals together.
I'm assuming we will end the season with Fiona and Sean's wedding? But there's a bombshell coming, I can feel it. What will it be? Mickey? Sammy? Helene? Amanda? Gus? I hate that there are only two episodes left, it goes too fast!
