This week's episode, entitled "Aftermath" was billed as being so compelling that we would all be left breathless. Therefore, you could tell it was going to be one heck of an episode, rightfully so as it also happens to be the fall finale. So keep in mind that you'll have to wait until January to get any questions answered!

The episode starts as so many often do, with a beloved character (in this situation, Pastor Tom) laying in his own pool of blood, having just been hit by a car. I'm sorry, but did I ask to watch GAME OF THRONES? You don't need to kill all the good ones, RESURRECTION! The police/ambulance arrive and Bellamy is rightfully shocked. Bellamy tells Fred that "they" (meaning the people against the Returned) have killed Tom. As they load Tom's body into the ambulance, Bellamy gets a call from Maggie who reveals that Rachael's amniotic fluid has completely cured Ray and everything is going to be fine. While it's great that people are cured, having to use someone else's amniotic fluid is just plain gross.

The next day, Fred visits Janine to tell her about the accident and Tom's death. I don't know why he waited a day, but whatever. She then heads inside to give Rachael some water that she dropped pills into (clearly without Rachael's knowledge) and tells her that everything is fine. Rachael doesn't remember falling asleep but Janine reassures her. When Rachael asks about Tom's whereabouts, Janine insists that everything is ok and that she should just go back to sleep.

Back at the Langston household, Henry, Lucille and Margaret are arguing over how and what to tell Jacob about Tom. Lucille steps up and reminds Margaret that Jacob is their son and not hers and it is their choice of how to raise him. Hell yeah, Lucille. You go girl! Lucille struggles with whether or not to tell Jacob about the "True Living" and their intentions because "an 8-year-old boy does not need to know that there are people out there who want to hurt him. Henry tries to change the subject by telling Lucille that he put up the house to get the loan for the factory, but Lucille immediately changes the subject back to Tom. Seems like this whole situation is a sinking ship (get it, cause Frances Fisher was in TITANIC!). Jacob hears the entire conversation through an air vent, and when Lucille eventually goes upstairs to break the news to him, he gives her the cold shoulder and wants to go outside and play. He admits he's not that sad about Tom because Tom was different and more grown-up when he came back.

Bellamy heads to the hospital to visit Ray as he is recuperating. Maggie reveals they are out of doses of the medicine and they need to find Rachael stat. Bellamy also reveals that he, too, is out of doses. Maggie discovers that Bellamy's pulse is weak and insists on admitting him to the hospital. Bellamy, being the big tough guy that he is, refuses to stay in the hospital because he has to help Maggie find Rachael or else there's no hope for him or anyone else. Wow Bellamy, God complex much?

Back at the Langston household again, Henry tells Margaret that he went through with the deal with Addison and that his father convinced Henry to sign right then and there. He's thrilled with the new deals and comments that the "Langstons will be right back to where they belong." Margaret is furious that he went through with the deal even though she told him not to. It seems Margaret and Henry have different opinions of where exactly the Langstons should be. Uh oh! She goes and visits Fred to tell him that Addison and his father are trying to scam Henry. Fred doesn't really care because he knows all about the factory's history. He tells her "If you and Henry share some idiotic delusion that you can get the factory up and running again, you deserve everything you get." Fred then goes to investigate Addison who admits that the whole thing is a scam because his father died in the factory fire and wants his revenge. After his conversation with Addison, Fred urges Henry to ask their mother about what happened to Fred's wife Barbara. Henry finally confronts his mother and discovers that his family killed people and just hid the evidence. Margaret also admits that she got rid of Barbara. Completely shocked, Henry kicks her out of the house, which Margaret then insists is hers. Henry then tells her "No, Ma," Henry said. "You've been dead for decades." Finally, people see Margaret for who she really is!

Rachael gets up from bed and heads downstairs to demand that Janine tell her where Tom is. Janine finally breaks down hysterically and tells her that Tom was killed. Rachael then starts crying but refuses to believe he's dead and demands to go see him. Janine then reminds Rachael that she isn't Tom's wife, Janine is. Rachael gets past Janine and tries to leave the house but realizes the door is locked because Janine won't let her out of the house. Janine then tells Rachael to calm down. Yeah that's just what a girl wants to hear when she's upset. Rachael later thanks Janine for taking such great care of her but then hits her over the head with a teakettle to escape.

Bellamy and Maggie give up trying to find Rachael and let Fred handle that. They head to the government facility where they tell Ms. Forrester that they believe they can extract stem cells from Rachael's old body (from season 1). While Forrester is game to try it, her boss isn't because they are no longer allowed to treat the disease and nature just has to take its course. Forrester tells Bellamy and Maggie this, but sneaks more doses of the medicine into Maggie's bag. You sneaky fox, Forrester!

Carl got assigned to find anyone who saw Tom get hit. No one realizes that Carl has a broken windshield because HE was the one who hit him. Fred did realize that two canisters of tear gas were missing and that it must've been one of his guys who took it. He somehow comes to find out it was Carl and goes to demand answers, and ends up arresting Carl.

At Tom's memorial, the Anti-Returned show up to protest. Henry and Joey end up getting into a fight and we find out that Joey's anger stems from the Langstons letting the factory, which so many people depended on, fall apart when Jacob died. Seeing this all go down, Jacob tells Margaret "I want to leave now. I don't want my parents to get hurt anymore." Margaret then takes Jacob away from the memorial without telling his parents, who eventually start panicking after they realize he's gone.

Jacob disappear for good? Is Tom gone forever? What's going to happen to those who haven't been cured yet? Sadly, RESURRECTION won't be back until January, so we'll just have to wait until then to get answers to these questions as well as the other 100 we have!
