Yes, gentle readers, Bobbi Morse (aka Mockingbird, played by Adrianne Palicki) has gone back to her blonde tresses that the comic book character is known for, but that's not all then went down this week.

With an episode titled "A Fractured House" the ragtag band of badass on MARVEL'S AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. probably won't be in for a light-hearted romp.

And we begin with Hydra impersonating S.H.I.E.L.D. members and killing several U.N. delegates. Coulson (Clark Gregg) theorizes it was Hydra bad guy Daniel Whitehall (Reed Diamond), but I stopped listening when Coulson grabbed a coffee mug with the picture of Internet meme sensation GRUMPY CAT on it.

Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge) recognizes the Hydra technology used to disintegrate the U.N. members and Morse knows the scientist who created it, Toshiro Mori. Morse and Hunter (Nick Blood) are sent to Japan to find him.

Back in Washington, Talbot (Adrian Pasdar) is debriefing a senator (Tim DeKay) regarding what went down. The senator faults Talbot (despite all of the money Congress has given his military team). Talbot accuses him of deflecting -the senator just doesn't want anyone to know about his brother. The senator's last name? Ward (as in the brother of turncoat Agent Ward, played by Brett Dalton).

Missing the obvious fact that they share the same last name, Skye (Chloe Bennet) pays a visit to Agent Ward in his cell. As if the flashbacks in season one where a Young Ward was physically and mentally abused by his now Senator brother weren't enough, Ward tells Skye to stay away from his brother, because he is "not what he seems."

Morse meets up with Mori (using her old cover that she is working for Hydra). Mori (Brian Tee) questions if she is still loyal to Hydra. Hunter, realizing Morse's cover is blown, rushes in along with May (Ming-Na Wen). Morse has the best move of the night -she takes down Mori with a tea towel (seriously). One bit of good news from the bloody tea party: Hydra's next target has been identified, a Belgium ambassador who is supportive of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Coulson threatens Senator Ward. Support S.H.I.E.L.D. or Coulson will leak the fact that the Senator's brother is an agent of Hydra. And it's an election year.

Agent Ward tells Skye her father is only a murderer because Hydra killed her mom. Ward wants to help Skye. She tells him it's time to get him out of the cell. However, it isn't sweet freedom. S.H.I.E.L.D. is going to turn Ward over to his brother.

Belgium, it turns out, is a trap. The ambassador is a Hydra ally. They have been luring S.H.I.E.L.D. agents into this trap for quite some time.

Hunter enters the Belgium safe house posing as a merc willing to sell out S.H.I.E.L.D. It buys him enough time for May and Morse to get in position. May again shows off some stellar martial arts moves. Hunter saves Morse again. It's too much for him and her being together again and he tells her he's leaving. She tells him to go and get killed or stay with S.H.I.E.L.D. and be safe.

Back at the Playground, Ward is being turned over. It's all very DEAD MAN WALKING with his former team mates glaring at him as he makes his way out to the military policy. Simmons is the only one who says anything: "If I ever see you again, I'll kill you."

Senator Ward comes clean to the press. Agent Ward, however, has no plans of going quietly. He slips out of his cuffs and quickly subdues his military guards.

Final reveal: a tattoo parlor. A man walks in, pays cash and takes off his shirt. His body is covered in the alien writing that Coulson has also been carving on walls.
