BWW Recap: ARROW is Public Enemy #1

A member of Team ARROW is wounded, Ra's al Ghul (Matt Nable) continues to frame ARROW (Stephen Amell) as a menace to socieity. Keep your eye on the target, we'll get you caught up with tonight's ep "Public Enemy."

We pick up where we left off. Maseo (Karl Yune), dressed as ARROW, has fired several arrows into the mayor's office, striking the mayor, some elected officials and Ray (aka the Atom, played by Brandon Routh).

Detective Lance (Paul Blackthorne) calls for back up and is convinced it is the real ARROW who is to blame for the attack.

Ollie and Diggle (David Ramsey) listen to the news from the Lair. The mayor is dead, Ray is in critical condition. Lance issues a warrent for ARROW with instructions to shoot to kill. Ra's al Ghul's noose is tightening around Ollie's neck. Ollie tells Diggle he knows who is doing it. It is his former friend Maseo.

Flashback #1: Picking up from where we left things last week, Ollie and Maseo's son are running through a crowded Asian market. They run into who Ollie thinks is Shado, but is actually her twin sister. Ollie asks her to hide them.

Laurel (Katie Cassidy) begs her father to trust her. ARROW is being framed. He threatens to charge her with being an accessory.

Thea (Willa Holland) and Roy (aka Arsenal, played by Colton Haynes) are canoodling in bed, unaway of what is transpring. Thea begins to talk about the relationship. Roy suddenly realizes that the TV is on and notices the breaking story regarding ARROW being at large.

At the hospital, in addition to learning all of the ARROW's friends are going to be charged as accomplices, Felicity (Emily Bett Rickard) and Ray learn that though the arrow was removed, he has a blood clot that could lead to a stroke. Given that Routh's character has already been named as one of the featured players in the second spin-off of this show (the first being THE FLASH), I'm betting he isn't dying anytime soon.Ray has an invention that could save himself, but the hospital won't operate to install it as it is untested. If that weren't enough drama, Felicity's mom (Charlotte Ross as Donna) makes a suprise visit at the hospital.

Ollie confronts Nyssa (Ra's daughter, played by Katrina Law). She won't intercede to help him. He asks her what her ex-lover Sara would do (and, didn't she want to take over for her pops anyway). It's persuasive enough to have her show up at the lair and drop the location of Maseo. Team ARROW suits up.

They fight Maseo on a roof top (ARROW, Arsenal and Black Canary --hardly a fair fight). ARROW knocks Maseo to the ground and Ra's emerges from the shadows, applauding. He gives ARROW two choices --assume the mantle of Ra's al Ghul or spend the rest of his life in prison. That's right, Ra's has alerted the police.

The three jump off the building (each shooting a zipline arrow as they fall). They make it to the ground, but Lance has a three block radius around the building sealed off. The trio are cornered. Ollie shoots and arrow to distract the cops and tells Arsenal and Canary to make a run for it.

Canary is cornered by her father. She tries to reason with him again, but he is intent on arresting her. Nyssa arrives to save her. Canary begs her not to hurt her dad and then runs off.

Arsenal is cornered in a factory. Diggle manages to rescue ARROW. Back at the lair, the team regroups. Aresenal is missing. There is concerned looks all around. Until he comes in. Ollie realizes he has underestimated Ra's (you think?).

Flashback #2: Shado's sister take Ollie and Maseo's son to her apartment. Shado's sister asks Ollie when he last saw her sister. Ollie has a flashback within this flashback to Shado being killed on the island and tells the sister it's been three years. She offers them a place to sleep. She watches as Ollie changes shirts and notices Ollie has a tattoo on his shoulder that matches the one her sister had.

After another press conference where he trashes ARROW, Lance is kidnapped by the League of Assassins and taken to Ra's. Ra's tells him that Oliver Queen is the ARROW.

Laurel tries again to talk sense into her dad by confronting him with the obvious: he's made at the ARROW because the ARROW kept Sara's death from him. He corrects her. He is made at Ollie becuase Sara got on the boat with him and ened up on the island in the first place. Ollie and ARROW are the same guy, he tells her.

At the hospital, Donna distracts the doctors while Felicity injects Ray with the nanotechnology the hospital refused to use. He flatlines and then quickly comes back.

Ollie, Thea and Roy are hanging out at her club. The police break in. Ollie flees.

Flashback #3: Shado's sister confronts Ollie about the tattoo. Before he can explain, the goons fire into the apartment.

The doctor returns with more scans. Ray's blood clot is gone. Felicity doesn't have too much time to celebrate. She notices Lance on the TV with another press conference. Lance reveals that Ollie is ARROW.

The team regroups at Diggle's apartment. Ollie realizes he can only do one thing. He leaves the apartment.

Flashback #4: Masked assailants break into the apartment windows. Ollie knocks one down, but the final guy has his gun drawn on Ollie. Maseo and Tatsu (Rila Fukushima) arrive, save Ollie's butt and reunite with their son.

At the hospital, Ray tells Felicity he loves her. It freaks her out. She excuses herself to go get some of that hospital Jell-O she has heard so much about (that's seriously her excuse). Donna tells her she doesn't love Ray because she is in love with Oliver.

At the precinct, Ollie turns himself in. Team ARROW arrives. Ollie tells them he has made a deal: he turns himself in and the rest of Team ARROW has immunity.

Final flashback: Shado's sister is in shock over almost being killed. Ollie tells her that it has nothing to do with Shado. Ollie tells her that Shado and her father saved his life several times, but now they're gone. She tells him "You have no idea how powerful the truth can be."

Lance interrogates Ollie in a prison van. The van stops suddenly. Another ARROW is atop the van. He tells Lance he has the wrong man, that he is the ARROW. He removes his mask. It is Roy. And with that, the ep comes to a close. We'll be back April 15th for another recap. What did you think?
