BWW Carch-Up: TEEN WOLF Season Four, A Look Back

It's been less than a year since we have checked in with our favorite supernatural students at Beacon Hills High School and the Season Four finale left us with a confrontation we've long been wanting. Will Scott and Stiles and gang be able to identify and eliminate the new Big Bad this season who, as it turns out, is literally a Wolf? Also, Malia's Mom?

We were introduced to a new, young werewolf by the name of Liam. Liam is a little bit out of control and Scott and Stiles are forced to take him under their wing and guide him through his transitions into wolfdom, as well as adulthood. Malia and Stiles got a little bit more cozy as they tried to navigate their new relationship, as did Scott and Kira who finally answered the question of what it would be like if a wolf and a fox kissed. Yes, Kira is a fox, Kate is a were-jaguar, Malia is a were-coyote, Parrish is something yet to be determined... turning into a regular Bon Temps over there in Beacon Hills.

The Benefactor was their first adversary of the season who basically had a supernatural hit list with an evil twist of each supernatural kill had a dollar amount attached to it. The hitmen came in all shapes and sizes and nobody was safe until the benefactor was eliminated. First we thought The Benefactor was Lydia's grandmother, and then we thought it was Meredith, and then it turned out to be sort of Peter? It was pretty confusing.

In turn, they were against the evil duo of Peter Hale and Kate Argent. Kate assembled a group of terrifying minions called the berzerkers. They were virtually undefeatable and yet they all survived. There was a scary moment at one point when Derek Hale and new girlfriend, bounty hunter Braeden, seemed to be doomed. In fact, Derek literally died for a few terrifying minutes, but reanimated in full wolf mode to take out Kate temporarily with Chris' help. It was an epic battle of good vs. evil with good, thankfully victorious for the moment. The problem is, Malia's mom aka the Desert Wolf is out there for Season Five, as well as the mysterious Dr. Valack. Will one or both of these two be the new villain?

The recent announcements that Tyler Hoechlin will no longer be a series regular, but only make occurring appearances came as a blow to the TEEN WOLF fans. And we will have to be solely relying on Stiles for comedic relief as Orny Adams will not return as Coach Finstock.

So where are we going from here? Well, Scott and Kira have a new relationship while they both deal with their personal struggles as Alpha and a Fox, respectively. Liam, having basically saved Scott's life in the finale will be growing as a new wolf and I'm sure getting into trouble repeatedly. Sheriff Stiles handcuffed his son to his desk after leaving for Mexico against his wishes, I wonder if he's still there? Chris Argent is now a member of the Calaveras Cartel and Braeden is obsessed with finding the Desert Wolf. Malia is also interested in finding the Desert Wolf, since she's, you know, her Mom and stuff, and since she's getting no love from Daddy (Peter), she may need some form of parental guidance. While they didn't leave us with a burning cliffhanger like the death of Allison Argent in Season Three, they certainly did set up many a storyline to jump into for the premiere. There are also rumblings online of a reappearance of Jackson and even Allison? I'm guessing in a town like Beacon Hills, anything is possible.

Teen Wolf premieres tonight, June 29th at 10:00pm on MTV. Here is a preview for Season Five:
