In a conference call with reporters yesterday, Kevin Reilly, Chairman, Entertainment, FOX Broadcasting Company spoke about the upcoming 5th season of GLEE.
Reilly explained, "We're going to come out with a fall season of 'Glee,' put it on hiatus for a little bit, give [new series] 'Rake' a tryout. Then 'Glee' will be back in the spring, relaunching with I think a creative twist in terms of where we're going with the creative evolving. And then that will play right into the summer as it's done once before."
While seemingly good news for the series, we were
shocked by the responses we received from our readers. Among the comments:
"Oh geez. Just end this show already. It should have ended with graduation, then maybe had a few reunion specials. But, instead...we got carbon copies of the same characters, and silly storylines. And, it seems we have 2 more seasons of this schlock. :(" - Mark
"Unfortunately cause
FOX is an idiot we've 2 more seasons of this mess to content with" - Crystal
"No justice in a world where
Glee gets a 5th season and
SMASH is cancelled after just one and a half seasons..." - PJ
With such negativity among viewers, it caused us to wonder about the musical drama's current storylines as production gets underway for the fifth season. What do you think? Is
Glee heading in the right direction?
