The La Costa Film Festival (LCFF) announced today the winners of the 2014 festival. The La Costa Film Festival opened on September 18, 2014 with Frank Vs. God, starring Henry Cusick and Ever Carradine at the Omni La Costa Resort and Spa.

Throughout its 4-day run, The La Costa Film Festival screened 43 films from 13 countries, hosted nightly red carpet galas, 3 exciting panels, receptions, and welcomed a number of prominent filmmakers such as Golden Globe winner Ed Harris and Oscar nominated writer and director Ron Shelton to Carlsbad. This year, the festival was pleased to announce a partnership with Mandalay Sports Media (MSM) to help curate the festival's sports themed narrative, documentary and shorts programs.

The 2014 La Costa Film Festival Sports Competition Jury featured an impressive roster of industry professionals, including Cash Warren, noted producer, Brad Holland, CEO of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Carlsbad, Ira Opper, a seven-time Emmy Award winner, Paul Rudy, Sports Director of KUSI-TV in San Diego, and John Carney, former NFL Chargers kicker and philanthropist.

Attendance at the 2014 La Costa Film Festival grew from last year's attendance with over 4,500 patrons.
