This week's episode of BROOKLYN NINE-NINE has Jake is in charge when the precinct goes into "Lockdown" on Thanksgiving. Meanwhile, Captain Holt spends his Thanksgiving at Sergeant Terry's house. Keep reading for all you need to know about this episode, but beware of SPOILERS!

Amy comes in with flowers for Cpt. Holt, since his uncle passed away. Jake says he was out do her with condolonces, with an email, because Holt hates gifts. Unfortunately, Jake forgot to turn off his email signature that included "stinky butt." It's Thanksgiving, and Terry and Holt are going to a charity event in Brighton Beach, so Jake is put in charge. Holt had asked Amy first, but she had plans. Holt tells Jake to not burn the place down.

Jake is in charge, and he is granting everyone's wishes, like allowing Boyle to say "succulent." Terry and Holt are on their way to the event. Terry tells Holt how he's happy he can be out of his house for as long as possible, because his brother-in-law Zeke is there for Thanksgiving.

Everyone is about to leave for Thanksgiving, when Boyle knocks over a package with white powder. They put the precinct on lockdown, but since three other precincts have had similiar issues and they were all baking powder, Jake thinks it shouldn't take too long. Jake goes to call Holt, and Holt seems to think Peralta has it under control, but he still wants to monitor the situation and Holt asks to go to Terry's house. Back to the precinct, the hazmat guys tell Jake there is a chance the powder is toxic! Oh no!

Jake video chats Holt to let him know the situation. There are people trapped in the precinct as well, like those in lock up, food delivery guys, witnesses, suspects, and lawyers. Jake doesn't want to freak anyone out, and Holt did leave Jake in charge so it's up to him. Amy doesn't trust that Jake can handle this situation. The precinct is upset because everyone is trapped there on Thanksgiving, so Jake addresses everyone and tellls them they are waiting on the first test results, and everything should be ok. To pass the time, he says they can have a talent show. Boyle tells him he just learned the Single Ladies dance, so he starts doing it to entertain everyone.

Boyle points out that people are starting to get hungry, so Jake feeds them. Amy points out that they need to set some rules. The mob of people trapped in the precinct, using the megaphone Jake gave them for the talent show, start demanding heat because they are cold.

Jake is looking for something to keep the people warm, and Amy tells Jake that he needs to man up. Zeke tells Terry it's ok Holt has to use his room, because he has a jerk boss, too. Zeke and Terry bond, and Zeke even calls him "brother," much to Terry's happiness. Jake brings up only 5 coats, and the mob also finds out that they have no more food, which makes the mob unhappy. Jake tells Lenny about the real situation, and he goes outside, stands on a chair and tells everyone it's anthrax, causing a frenzy. Back at Terry's, Terry and Zeke continue to bond, and Holt tells Terry that Jake's text make no sense, because the emojis Jake is sending come up like boxes on Holt's phone. Everyone in the precinct is going crazy.

Jake calls Holt and he tells him everything that happened. It started with Boyle wanting to say succulent, and ended with the mob starting small fire that they put out. Holt says he and Terry are on their way. Jake then goes out and gives Amy control of the precinct, but Amy points out he's still trying to make people happy, but he should be the Captain and take control. Jake goes out and tells Boyle find where the powder came from, he tells Gina to stop freaking out, and tells Rosa to stop making fun of Gina and start helping her. Jake tells everyone else to calm down. Back at Terry's, Terry tells Holt that he needs to scream at him in front of Zeke in order to keep Zeke on Terry's good side.

The hazmat team comes in and lets everyone know that the powder was not harmful. Just then, Holt and Terry arrive, and Jake tells them that he Boyle speed things up and they found out a fired IT guy was the one who planted the package.

So the Thanksgiving episode of B99 has arrived! This episode was very funny, although it didn't not include much in the way of bigger plotlines. However, I did really like the moments between Jake and Amy in the episode. When Jake kept trying to please everyone, Amy was there trying to make him realize he needed to stand up and be more assertive. At the end, it's Amy who makes Jake realize he needs to start acting like a captain, since they both know he has it in him. It was very nice moment between the two of them, and reminded me of how great their chemistry is. I also think this could be the beginning of Jake having more responsibility and potentially going after positions of rank.

Holt and Terry also had a great story together this week, with Holt's presence at Terry's house helping Terry get along with his brother-in-law Zeke. Things are looking up for Terry, since Zeke and him are now on a lot better terms bonding over "bad bosses." It was sweet seeing Holt help Terry out in the end, too.
